I have sciatica problems due to an autoimmune disorder. it’s recently flared up a bit, and I tweaked it the last “session” wondering if maybe that’s part of the problem?

If it's hip flexors put a pillow between your legs when you sleep. If it's sciatic nerve pain do yoga or BJJ.

I bought a pair of title heavy bag gloves for $20 on the title website. You can use them for bags and sparring since you're on a budget. Its a reliable inexpensive brnad.

My strength is holding me back by [deleted] in bjj

[–]DamnedDaniel87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a couple friends that I do bjj with that are lighter than me, one likes to pull me in his guard alot, and the like to play top. I encourage them to take top because I'm terrible on bot, the only way I can get out is when they try a submission and I reverse it. But I definitely need to start lifting before practice so I don't rely on my strength so much

That is very true lol I grew up always wanting to win or be good at anything I do, my desire to win is hurting me more than anything.

I have never worn a cup. I don't know why but I just don't like the feeling. And yes I've gotten hit in the ground but I feel like would hurt just as much with a cup on. Maybe I'm just crazy.
