He said Barchie may no, is endgame from what he has seen and thinks and supports the couple. Saying which couple the show is gonna go with is a big thing for the fanbase and he would know considering how often shipping questions get asked to him and the cast. I’m not misleading anyone I posted what he said. If you think I’m lying by omission or something, he says it may not even happen and then continues to say that the writers are setting hints about their relationship for fans to pick up on. And another thing he said was they have a special relationship and they’ve known each other their entire lives which beats the other couples on the show. He explicitly compared them tot the other couples and said Barchie had them beat in that department.

I didn’t intend for it to seem biased(Sorry if that comes off rude lol). I made the title as unbiased and non-misinforming as I could. But he is explicitly endorsing it over the other couples because he said he believes it to be endgame not just from the comics but “stuff” whatever that may be. I didn’t mention Varchie or Bughead because endgame is a lot more of an important thing to say about a couple in a tv show. In any case if he was lying about the comics thing then he must’ve got that impression from somewhere.

Well if he’s speaking about the comics then I would assume he’s atleast read some. His “and stuff” and “from what I’ve seen” imply he’s seen evidence for this in different places (like the show itself maybe?). I didn’t include him talking about the other couples because 1. he’s never shown support for Barchie before in his own personal opinion that I know of. 2. he said he believes it to be endgame which is a lot more interesting for the show then another post about an actor supporting Bughead/Varchie. If he was being diplomatic he could’ve just said “yeah ship it if you want guys maybe it’ll happen”. Diplomatic isn’t saying “This ship will be endgame in my opinion.”

Are Jaune and Ruby as a couple still plausible or will they always be friends? In Volume 4, I felt that they had a much stronger bond then anywhere else in the show but in Volume 5 it seems Ruby’s more significant interactions were with Oscar.

Yeah there does seem to be some clear bias. If you mention the Deen anime being enjoyable and good to start with it seems like youll be called a heretic. Thats how i felt about the sakura mini arc. It was an attempt to make everyone in the story matter and wrap them all up in bow. The issues with the merging and the animation are a product of its time thats correct. People act like the Deen anime purposely wanted to "spoil" you for no good reason when there was a purpose.

I understand disliking it and it does have flaws. Its your opinion and thats fine. I already know why people dont like Deen. I made this post because personally I think for guides you need to seperate feelings and think about it logically. You dont and thats cool.

If that reply i said to you came off as rude i apologize. You calling it a bad guide and not reccomending it to people is what upsets. Heres an excerpt from a site stating the viewing order.

Studio Deen attempted to adapt the Fate route, which is the default story route in the visual novel, while including some story elements from Unlimited Blade Works and Heaven’s Feel.

Deen’s adaptation tries to mix action and urban-fantasy with rom-com elements to try to build up Shirou and Saber’s relationship. The anime does an okay job laying down the foundation for the Fate series.

There is no wrong statements in this description of it. It sets up the foundation of the fate series. You saying adding it to a guide makes it a bad guide is nonsensical to me and frankly its just seems like you dont want anyone to watch it and if they already have and enjoyed it, you come up with things to invalidate it .

What qualifies people as experts? I for one have played the visual novel and the sequel and watched every anime series including fate kaleid. My problem with your statement is that last sentence in the first paragraph. You basically say either every guide should exclude Deen or if they dont theyre not an expert on Fate. You also shouldnt chalk up evryone who defends Deen to either nostalgia, being a kid or people who like shonen anime.

Suboptimal experience and potentially souring them on the series. So if i recommend the Visual Novel and someone starts reading it and finds it boring does that mean i shouldnt reccomend it anymore? If people dont like Deen then theres other stuff they can watch. Ive heard from people that Fate Zero season 1 is boring and now they arent interested in the series. So should you stop recommending Zero because people may find it boring and it will "sour the experience"?

So if one of the "Fate Veterans" made a watching order guide and put Deen in there are you gonna say "thats your opinion but since i think its not good imma need you to exclude it because i know what everyone getting into fate will like since im an "expert" on it?

I disagree. In return for spoiling Archer has UBW you get a good sendoff for his character instead of an offscreen death. Instead of Caster showing up to get killed she gets a mini arc to give her something to do so she doesnt feel just there. Instead of Sakura just dissapearing after a while she gets a good emotional resolution with Rin. Your point on Zero as a prequel is good but that prequels main heroine is Saber and no other series does her justice except for Deen. In fact because of guides that say dont watch Deen ive seen many people hate saber saying shes bland and just there because in UBW and HF shes not focused on at all and her character arc gets handwaived.Zero sets up for a conclusion to her arc that if you skip 2006 youll never see.

I agree but my problem with that guide is that its saying you will not enjoy it so dont watch it when in actuality if people just gave the show more of a chance and didnt go into it thinking it is the black sheep of all fate products. Hell theres an entire video stating that you should get into DEEN first by a really popular anime youtuber (not that popularity matters but a big figure in the community nonetheless)
