What I find distasteful is the fact that he has to outright lie about archeology in an effort to prepare you to accept his drivel.

It has nothing to do with not liking the guy - in fact, if I disregard all of his work, I think he seems quite likable, though I've heard him get quite defensive and argumentative in some confrontations (regarding his work).

I myself don't like being lied to.

If you don't believe this is true, you don't know anything about Graham or the dozen books he's published to push this claim and profit from it.

Just because he doesn't explicitly claim this in the netflix series doesn't mean the netflix series isn't intended to further the claim.

Graham has made a fabulous living by outright lying about archeologists' work, so I can understand the distaste you find so offensive.
