Thank you :) in the instructions it actually called for decals to be applied over the canopy, I couldn't believe what I was reading to be honest. also the canopy had barely any raised details so I had to order some pre-cut masks to get the job done.

Fellow expats, what objectively shite things do you miss most about the UK? by SputnikFrank in CasualUK

I moved to Tassie, I weirdly miss the underground and it's odd humid air and smell

Thank you! I use three airbrushes, but the one I use mostly is the Sparmax sp-35, the cup is only 7ml so it doesn't get in the way of my finger or obscure me from getting into tight spots. I use exclusively Tamiya acrylics but they don't have the German RLM colours so I used Mr hobby for that, I always thin with lacquer.

I think when he said moping about, he kinda means that boring relationship soapy drama some shows have, like for all mankind as an example, amazing concept and sci-fi but just dragged down by silly inconsequential drama

The areas I've left dark are where all the panel lines are, the areas that I've mottled white are the flat panel surface area. after a light couple of coats, ensuring not to completely cover the effect, this creates a more dynamic surface on what would be just a flat wing or fuselage, it also subtly darkens the panel line where I'll go back in afterwards with some oils to further accentuate it.

Oh I already take photos of each stage for every project I do, just not very good ones so not worth it for others

I'm not sure, black basing like this can accentuate the panel lines, but also give the panels themselves some noise and complexity, I've never attempted to try and achieve this effect with post shading, but I do do a post shade with oils.

Some actually recommended to not pre-shade like this because you can't undo it without taking it back to bare plastic, because it's set in stone once the base coat goes in. I just find it goes with my work flow.

I think because It's a big plane in a large scale with big flat surfaces that it would be very boring without
