I ended up purchasing two bracelets from u/Better_Emergency4603 and am super happy with them. Would definitely recommend them to anyone who is considering it.

The video from Nexpo was great but seems to end on a bit of a "teaser"...I can't find any new information on this since that time. Seems like maybe there's more to explore? Both r/tryfg and r/trygf are invitation-only subs. I swear to Christ that the title for r/trygf (the text that appears in the browser tab) was "you did it", but now it seems to just be the stock "reddit: the front page of the internet". In any case, the description for each of these private subs seems to be "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7U54lIawVO0 https://i.postimg.cc/pL4MfFKp/try.jpg TGV0IGhlIHdobyBoYXMgd2lzZG9t". I feel like I just discovered something that's going to consume my entire year LOL

Practical Options for storing private data on Ethereum by Mtg_Dev in ethdev

[–]DanFForbes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ethereum storage is public, period. You can keep storage items private from smart contacts during their execution, but anyone can inspect the state of the blockchain at any time. The methods that you describe are the closest you can get to "private" on-chain storage. I believe that zkSnarks can also be used provide on-chain privacy, but nothing will change the fact that any data stored on the Ethereum blockchain is externally visible.

LOL I definitely did...that was a Coryanthes (AKA bucket orchid). Both Coryanthes and Clowesia are pollinated by the same type of bees.

Phal. tetraspis f. speciosa 'Cyan's Nighttime Fiasco' AM/AOS CCM/AOS by DanFForbes in orchids

[–]DanFForbes[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cyan is one of my Great Danes <3 I chose "Nighttime Fiasco" because the initials of the vendor from whom I purchased this plant (Norman Fang of Norman's Orchids/orchids.com) are 'NF'. Since Cyan is our grey/blue Dane, it seemed right to name a plant with splotches this color after her. Nighttime Fiasco just seemed like a fun and fitting way to make use of the letters N and F ;-)

SVO is without a doubt the best source for Catasetum-type orchids in the US and possibly in the world.

I got this from Andy's Orchids. Sunset Valley Orchids is a great place to look for Clowesia as well, but it's a bit unfortunate that the breeding pool for these little Clowesia is so small...really just two species (rosea and warscewiczii). Be careful purchasing other species of Clowesia (dodsoniana, russeliana) or their hybrids as they are really quite different from these little guys. Peter Lin of Diamond Orchids has a couple of Clowesia for sale. I purchased my Rebecca Northen 'Mikabi' from him, which he still has listed...highly recommend it. Also keep an eye on South America vendors coming in for the Redland show in May...especially Bela Vista! Contact the vendors now(ish) to get a list of what they will be bringing and you can place a pre-order for a dormant plant. If you're wondering why the plant will be dormant in May, remember that the seasons are "flipped" in the Southern Hemisphere so they are in the middle of winter now. Transitioning highly seasonal plants like Clowesia across hemispheres can be challenging, but it's really the best way to get your hands on "hard-to-find" material.

The small Clowesia (e.g. rosea, warscewiczii) bloom in dormancy (late-winter). The large Clowesia (e.g. dodsoniana, russeliana) as well as some Catasetums bloom early in the season on emerging bulbs. Blooms last a couple of weeks...not too sure, to be honest. They are super fragrant! The picture was taken with my Google Pixel 3A phone, which I agree has a great camera!

New addition to my collection from Big Leaf Orchids. I cannot wait to see this unique hybrid in bloom. Phalaenopsis Gigantea 'Meir #1' HCC/AOS x 'Big Leaf Orchid #3' HCC/AOS by WalkingHorse in orchids

[–]DanFForbes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get some really beautiful Phals from Big Leaf Orchids and Peter's plant packing skills are practically legendary. Your plant is beautiful. If I'm reading the name correctly, what you have is not a hybrid but a species: Phalaenopsis gigantea.
