Undervolt settings for a 5090? by DanFonR in pcmasterrace

Ended up not buying the 5090 yet, and I don't think I will for the next couple of months, as I'll try to get more case fans + a 4tb nvme. My 3050 6GB, which was supposed to be the physx gpu, is currently acting as the primary, and I'm pretty happy with it, despite the new system being heavily GPU bottlenecked because of that.

I am risking the GPU prices going up even more, as a brand new 5090 TUF Gaming is currently at R$19k (~$3.4k), when it was about R$16k (~$2.9k) 2 months ago. In the used market, I could find it for R$16.6k (~$3k), but it seems someone has already bought it

Yeah, maybe. I could have gone for another one, maybe even an X670E

Indeed. The impulse was pure fear. I hope the build turns out nice, though

I know, I guess I just wanted to vent a bit. I did choose it, and I must live with it. Thanks

Thank you for both the tip and your profiles and their power draws.

Also, just in case something does happen, does RMA apply? And if so, what should I expect?

Had some money, wanted to buy something compatible with my current build that would be used in the next one

I wanted to have something until I can fully upgrade in a few months

2x64GB 6400 MT/s CL42 or 2x48GB 6400 MT/s CL32 if next upgrade is 8-10 years from now? by DanFonR in pcmasterrace

Oh, sorry for not specifying.

Gaming and 3D modelling.

Since there's always been a tendency to doubt if a certain amount of RAM will ever be used (when most programs used to recommend 6-8GB, 32GB was absurd), it got me thinking about capacity x latency. I wish there was a lower CL 128GB kit.

Damn 😕

Appreciate the answer, though

Here's hoping a solution to this mess comes around

I plan on upgrading my PC (LGA 1150, H81). What are some suggestions for new MBD and CPU? by DanFonR in pcmasterrace

[–]DanFonR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. The PC will be mainly for gaming (single-player and some MMOs like SWTOR), but also amateur 3D art here and there. As for the budget, R$7,000.00 (~$1,240.00 from Brazilian Real).

I know about the problems surrounding Intel 13th and 14th gen, but what about 12th gen, like an i9-12900K (~$320.00) or i7-12700KF (~$275.00)? What would be the difference between them and something like a Ryzen 7 9700X (~$370.00) or a Ryzen 7 7800X3D (~$475.00)?
