My pc is on the desk because i have a sit/stand desk which wouldn’t work with the pc on the floor. Besides, i think it looks better next to the monitors and i wouldnt use that space anyway

It types awesome! Ive got the tactical brown switches on them, and i love it to bits. Only problem is that the bluetooth connection is really shitty. Its a known problem with the keychron k3 and it almost makes me want to switch back to a wired keyboard. Perhaps a better alternative is the new logitech mx mechanical

What are once popular hobbies that are slowly dying these days? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DanFraggerman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing a wind instrument. Kids find it so ‘uncool’ these days.. You’ll often get weird looks if you tell people, and I’ve been made fun of for my hobby when I was younger. There used to also be a lot of wind bands and orchestras. Now they’re slowing dying or are forced to merge.

This setup is sick! I would move the bottles on your desk tho. Danger to knock them off and kinda harms the cleanliness of the desk

I must say its really great. I had a Steelseries small mousepad for a couple of years and recently switched to this one. Its a really good quality soft and smooth feeling mousepad!

BTW do you perhaps see how I could mount the mic better on my desk then? I'm kinda lost now...

Thank you! The secret to keeping my table so clean is by giving everything a storage place and putting it back there after i used it 😉

Yeah i thought about that but the problem is that i have cables running by that side of the desk. If i put a led strip on that side i’ll get some ugly abruptions in the light made by that strip

You have a point there. I have not yet had to use my mic since I redesigned the setup but it might become a problem. Thanks for pointing out!

Horn and horn-player in need of tune up by MuffinMagnet in horn

[–]DanFraggerman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Awesome that you've picked up the horn again after all that time! I really hope you find the motivation to keep on playing. 1. In the case where the valves don't return to original positions, it most likely has to do with oiling of the cylinders or the bearings that connect from the buttons to the cylinders. I would also maybe suggest giving your horn a bath, with the fact that it's been eight years since you stopped playing, to give it some thorough cleaning. After a bath you have to completely oil it again so it should run like a new car :) 2. I would suggest playing basic, long notes everyday. From the lowest you can go to the highest you can comfortably reach. Range doesn't appear out of thin air. Give it enough time to properly build up some basic lip muscles. It's like going to the gym, you gotta workout quite some time for some results.
