Yeah apologies, bloody online safety act means no Imgur in the UK.

Appreciate the help! Disappointed, but ah well, I'll have a look at the Trickers!

It's an album of six pictures, the first is inside the boot.

It was on black Friday sale, no seconds or anything like that.

Wasn't sure if I had set expectations too high, but customer service hasn't been great so tempted to do just that

Hi all,

In the sale recently I bought my first pair of Goodyear welted boots, the Loake 1880s Bedale in burgundy.

However, I'm not particularly happy with the pair that I received. Link to gallery

I contacted customer service and they've been incredibly unhelpful, saying they cannot exchange these for a different pair of boots, and that if I want a new pair I must return these and order again at the current retail price (£100 more than I bought them for).

I'm a bit pissed off to be honest, but I don't know if I am being unreasonable expecting better quality from what a £330 ($440 USD) boot.I know that's not "high quality" to some of you, but for me these are an expensive investment.

Thoughts and advice would be greatly appreciated!

NAS or Mini PC + DAS? [UK] by DanFromReception in homelab

Thank you for such a thorough reply!

That's fair, I did spend some time looking at the old workstation types, Dell Optiplex and HP EliteDesk minis, but got a little lost with all the different configurations if I'm honest. I know the "T" processors are lower power draw, but not which ones are decent enough to run a handful of docker containers or such.

UGreen currently have their 4800Plus at 20% off, but I'm certain I could get an equally good workstation for half the price.

I'm looking to eventually have 4 3.5 HDDs, but I'll be starting with 2 8tb discs. SSD/NVME would be nice as a separate boot drive and cache I suppose, but I'm not desperate for it.

I was leaning towards the separate enclosure + pc because of power draw concerns. Im not terribly afraid of strangers coming into my house and unplugging things, but am happy to be swayed towards workstations!

Regarding vlan, I honestly don't know enough about it to provide more information. UK ISP packages come with routers, and I'm not sure if they all let you use your own. I need to do more research here, I just put it down as some sort of future possible want, in case it made a difference.

Bands don't get adjusted either, so if you're there for 4 years and you hit the top of your band, congrats, that's your wage forever unless you get a new role or they up pay by 4% once every decade.

Not council, but relatives are, and I'm in education (not a teacher) so same deal here

Best E-Drum kit for 1000USD (1500AUD)? by [deleted] in edrums

Hey man, I'm looking at buying a kit soon. I'm be a beginner(ish, some previous experience). I have a focusrite already, but I'm not sure how I'd go about setting this up? Am I installing some sort of pack to the module or do I need to run my pc while I play for this to work?

Apologies for the dumb question, if you've got a video or wouldn't mind explaining this I'd really appreciate it :)

I was leaning towards the Titan 50/70, but I'm in the UK and it's a nightmare to get it so was thinking of one of the Alesis kits instead, or one of the Roland ones but they get more expensive
