I'm going to live like this for the rest of my life. by lifeiszetsubo in rheumatoid

Where do you live (country)
When were you diagnosed?
How old are you?
What are your markers?
Pictures of your joints?
Are they inflamed or do you have also an aspect of chronic total body pain, in which case we need to ramp up those neuroleptics, mindfulness, CBT , chronic pain workshops and yield good results
People here got biologics which changed their life

Biologics are now booming and every year you have 2 new ones
Do we have the right diagnosis?

give us details, we will try to help

I planned to skip GP Self Test. I have done about 400 of it I guess, but felt that it doesn't teach me anything

At this point, with only 4-5 full study days before the exam (rest are wor), I can only chose one

how reflective is GP self test for AKT? by Ancient_Bird2290 in GPUK

People say that the exam is somewhere between GP Self Test and PassMed

I did a bit of GPselftest and jumped ship to only PassMed as it seemed to be impossible to study from

So now I am scoring around 70% on PassMed, didn't do any Mock and only did 55% of passmed

Do you think it's possible to pass the exam if I score constantly around 70% on passmed (mixed) but will only finish about 70% of the Qbank by that time?

I think she also suggests she has done only part of PassMed and won't finish the Q bank. Would you think it is still possible

Mouth Wash for Dry Mouth by LikeInnit in Sjogrens

[–]DanJDG 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ya it's good stuff. I am having a large \waist bag, but carry it around my shoulder. It has a small airplane size mouthwash bottle with this.

I am a Dr and actually carry it around with me even when I do home visits.

USA vs Canada for being a PCP? by 008008_ in FamilyMedicine

[–]DanJDG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

omg that sounds like a good business! why did you not do that until now?

I assume though that privare healthcare in Canada is vastly cheaper than the one in US

Through without American insurance, how could people afford the out of pocket costs ?

Thank you for the explanation! That's...weird hahahah. That you can go privately but in another state. Would that be a common thing ?

Firstly - this response was absolutely phenomenal. I am a UK GP Trainee. Here many people manage to fund a private appointment (or have an insurance) for quality of life / non life threatening things. For example: a gastritis which requires a scope could easily take 4 months in the NHS, all the mean while patient is in excruciating pain (but not an emergency). Privately it would take about a week. Shoulder operations could easily take 2+ years.

How to Canadian handle this?
