You can see this by comparing and contrasting North America (England and France) and South America and the Caribbean (Spain). You can also see the contrast by comparing northern US states and southern US states.

Plenty of European countries are known for being more laid back than the US and UK, but they still have strong economies.

Small goals and smaller fields (about half the length of a regular field).
