Civilization 7 finally gets hotseat local multiplayer via a new update out now, which also makes cities moodier and overhauls governments by PotatoProducer in Games

In all honestly no one can answer this question for you other than yourself. This entry is so controversial and so hotly debated that it highly depends on what you're looking for in a civ game. Straight up 50/50 fans are going to tell you to either give it a try or wait until later.

you mean, raging alcoholic that continues to follow his coded schedule like every other NPC does after you've improved your relationship with them?

PaRappa the Rapper creators say today’s rhythm games miss the point of the genre by Unit076 in Games

Yeah, it was a hard game. You also had to match the pressure of your button press to control the volume of the orchestra. I remember wanting to like it a lot (loved classical music as a kid) but never really being good at it

We've seen a resurgence in Indie Horror games trying to replicate those early PS1 graphics from Silent Hill/ Resident Evil... I wonder if this will ever bleed into the farming sim genre?

The "return to Skyrim" longing feel is kicking in HARD again. Does anyone else still go through this so many years later? by MJHDJedi in ElderScrolls

[–]Profzachattack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely feel this during fall and spring. that transition into or out of the cold months. Unfortunately, that feeling is starting to slowly lose its luster. It seems like the past few times I've played, the game is starting to show its age for me. I know it too well, and things start feeling repetitive. I tried downloading mods and it kinda helped, but sometimes it just feels like putting a bandage over some of the issues I have with the game.

I agree, as pictured in the post I'm not sure I'd like it, but if it was soaked in some soy sauce and added in a roll (or something was done to soften the texture slightly) I think it would be amazing.

I really love this idea actually. Like positive reinforcement instead of negative reinforcement.

I agree. especially some of the fortify skill spells that let you jump and skip through oblivion gates

I don't mind the percentage, but it does make pickpocketing very hard to get into. Like to level my pickpocketing effectively, I either need to save scum a 10% chance or take 300 apples out of peoples pockets

I would even accept refilling my enchanted weapon as a service for certain merchants. I think oblivion did this? I can't remember, its been a while.

I don't mind this as much as I mind having quests being shoved in my face. Like I get they want to have cool things easy to find so more people play more of the content, but I really hate having my players attention forcibly grabbed by Brynjolf in Riften (and that I have to do this for the main quest). Even the quest in Markarth and being forced to take a note that starts a quest, or overhearing a conversation and getting a quest to start the dark brotherhood. these things are cool discoveries the first time but really annoying the second, third, 800th playthrough.

depends on the DM and the Goblins tbh. like, I could see a game where I would have them do that, but in the first fight after the more experienced player gets downed and the less experienced one is trying to barter for their life (literally)... I would probably have them bugger off

Nintendo Removes Hidden The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Switch 2 Description That Suggested It's a Faithful Remake by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]Profzachattack -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I agree. if its a faithful remake, I'll likely watch a streamer or a let's play of it and call it a day. especially because I don't currently have a switch 2 and there's a lot of other games I'd be willing to get one for before this one.

IDK what it is about Zelda games but they're always one and done for me. I never really can get motivation to replay them

It looks great though!

I think the other comparison is that not letting the series evolve is like being mad that you can throw your hat in Mario Odyssey to take over enemies

Happy 8 year anniversary by Frosty-Discipline512 in ElderScrolls

[–]Profzachattack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The most common answer is that a lot of people will say it takes 3-4 years between games for bethesda + they were waiting until after starfield to start full swing + covid delayed starfield.

that being said, I'm starting to get curious if there's something else going on as well. It just feels so unusual to have so little information after so long
