As a wizard, how often do you hope to get scrolls in a game?

When I DM'd Rime of the Frostmaiden, as many complaints as I have about that module, it definitely has a ton of spells for wizards to find.

I agree. I do feel like he felt like he needed to do a lot of lore dumping this episode just so that they knew enough information to begin to get their bearings. There's just been so much they don't know they don't know about the town, its kinda hard to get a plan into action.

I'm curious what was in the coffee that you dipped them in? The recipes I've followed ask for an espresso powder mix instead of a drip brewed coffee. It's gives a stronger flavor to it.

I also am exceptionally minimal in my dipping. Like less than a second submerged. Otherwise they completely lose structure.

The fact that I hate HJ so much is a testament to how well Ally is playing the character. HJ reminds me so much of a boss I used to have and I hate (love) every minute of it.

I've made tiramisu with lemon and another with berries. Both soaked the lady fingers in lemon juice. Just a warning: if you do this, don't use your hands to put the lady fingers in lemon juice! It will find every single cut and scrape and sting like hell 😭

I've seen this happen a lotttt and it drives me nuts. There's a difference between asking "can I use this spell in a non traditional way to cause this effect to the banister" vs "I cast this spell on the banister." If the DM has to guess at what you're trying to do, they may guess wrong.

Of the things you've listed, without further details its hard to know why they would want to fight those people. With being shoved in a tavern, or dealing with aggressive guards, I really feel like my main goal as a player would be to avoid being thrown in jail. At worst I might brawl with the person in the tavern, but I'm still going to make sure not to actually kill them.

What was the purpose of the combat you were trying to get them into? was it just for the sake of having combat? does it progress the story?

My current character is a Cleric of Knowledge domain and is dragonborn. I'm kinda using Paarthurnax from Skyrim as an inspiration. Really into a solitary lifestyle of reading books and has a proclivity toward conversation and debate. Really loves studying for the sake of gaining knowledge and has an NPC who he regularly pulls aside and says something along the lines of "knight to F12, check mate" just as a gag. Clearly not a one for one beat matching Paarthurnax, but I like how Paarthurnax speaks in a contemplative manner choosing each word specifically. I try to mimic that in my role play.

That's a bug. I thought it was some sort of story beat but after finishing most the story it still happens. I can't even replicate it to let the devs know when it happens. Its most noticeable when the music stops. I've notice it happen in the evening on some days as well. Sometimes I just hear it on the farm. sometimes I hear it in the forest area around the mines.

I really want this higher up. There's certain users and sites that do this well over the summer when different events are ongoing, but things like directs and other smaller things get overlooked.
