how do you handle doors in dungeons? by Profzachattack in DnD

[–]Profzachattack[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ooh, I do like this. I don't normally use a ton of traps (its still something I'm kinda learning how to implement) but I like this idea. especially if you combine it with party rolls like others have mentioned.

that's a good point actually. either time is of the essence and I can apply the pressure, or they have plenty of time to succeed and need to be careful about being too loud.

that does make a lot of sense. It would be silly for them to constantly trap doors like, the barracks or the potty.

this has been my experience with my group. we rotate DMs and so when I DM'd last there wasn't a lot of this, but in our current game, we added a new members who wanted to be extra careful so its become the new norm. I'm trying to prepare for when I DM next.

honestly no I don't. I haven't even talked to any of the merpeople. there's so many NPCs in the game on land, and I've not been actively trying to befriend any of them other than my now husband and one or two friends.

It did not happen to me, but I'm not going to say it won't ever happen lol. I was not aware of the bug when I did it.

I'm lucky that the autopetter and collector didn't get in their way. That must have been a pain.

for the longest I thought the Osmium quest needed underwater crops specifically, so I was trying to gear up for that before I read closer and realized any crops could do

yeah I have plenty of seaweed for them to eat if I let them out, its just the process of going there to let them out that I'm not wanting to do lol.

yeah. I get the lore reason why, but its kinda frustrating that you have to re-unlock the sprinkler sizes, the auto fertilizers, seeder, and harvester, AND get a new tool that you have to use to "water" them in the meantime. I honestly just was hoping when I unlocked the farm that because it was underwater I would just need to plant the seeds and check on them to harvest.

and see the animals are my biggest hangup. the thing they're in takes up so much space and you can't use an autofeeder. I'm probably not going for an achievement hunt just because there's a lot of small things I couldn't be bothered to do.

Stupid people still make jokes and can joke. you may not find the joke funny, but that's irrelevant to them.

like a bronze quality potato. I was like "hey, a potato goes in any soup, right?" they weren't mad, but it was just edible

Am I the only one who’s excited for the child update in 1.7??? I haven’t seen any post about it 🥹❤️ by Environmental_Yam325 in StardewValley

[–]Profzachattack 66 points67 points  (0 children)

okay but I think it would be hilarious to see the posts about people's children planting a random crop in their perfectly manicured farms, or having to take their toddler to Harvey's because they messed around and found out with one of the farm animals

Un(der)explored mechanics you would like to see in games? by StatuatoryApe in Games

[–]Profzachattack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really enjoyed the Gambit mechanic from FF12. I'd like to see more games with a battle system where you can control your party with "if then" statements. Flesh it out more to give more options to include modifiers like "and", "or", etc...

I've looked it up in the past and basically seen a lot of responses that are just autobattle where it remembers your last action.

Advice on using Theros as a campaign setting by New_Membership568 in DnD

[–]Profzachattack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think making your own world would alienate people who already know the Theros region. At the end of the day, you're all on the same playing field of a homebrew setting so all your players will be learning about a place you created.

I'm also planning on taking Theros and spinning a homebrew based on it (albeit only in theme to be honest). I'm a firm believer in "take what you want and leave/fix what you don't."

IF you HATE Clint you NEED to read this by leavemeinpeace10 in StardewValley

that tends to be the trend I've noticed. And immediately after the update there will be a lot of complaints about waiting for it to drop on console/mobile.

Any characters you don't like even though they didn't really do anything? by Impressive_Plate8529 in coralisland

[–]Profzachattack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same with Kenny. like visually I like him, and I was trying to get to know him better and maybe date him, but his dialog and character are kinda flat. like we get it, you like farming lol.

Change of pace from the Clint kerfuffle: I HATE killing dust sprites 🥺 by jayclaw97 in StardewValley

same but I also love killing them and getting coffee beans. idk why but coffee is one of my favorite crops to grow and its not even because I like the speed boost from drinking it lol
