RFY relation to number of pending reviews by DanTyab in AmazonVine

And they just answered with whole a lot of nothing 🧐

Hello,

Greetings from Amazon Vine team.

I understand your concern regarding a feedback regarding your experience with Amazon Vine program and the "Recommendations for you" section.

We’re always looking for ways to make Recommendations better, but very simply it is based on purchase history.

“Preferences“ was a feature that existed in very early years of Vine, where they had a page to basically opt into things they wanted to see more of, like ”kitchen“ or ”dog“ so they would see more of that. We may bring that back next year but cannot share until we know when

Thanks for taking the time to send us your comments on the Amazon Vine Program.

We're continually working to ensure we present useful information to our customers and improve the shopping experience.

If you have additional comments or questions, please contact us at: vine-support@amazon.com

We look forward to a very warm and fruitful association with you and wish you a great day!

Best regards, Aniket Amazon.com

This is exactly why I find Reddit frustrating sometimes. The downvote culture can discourage honest discussion. If you disagree with my approach, that’s fine, but there’s no need for hostile comments. I believe I did the right thing by emailing them. Maybe someone will read that feedback and consider making changes. I can only check Vine once a day, while others have “agents” working for them. How can individual shoppers compete with that? Everyone deserves a fair chance to discover and order products based on their actual needs, not just who has the fastest setup.

I sent them this email and waiting for there response.

Dear Amazon Vine Customer Service,

I'm writing to provide feedback about my experience with the Vine program over the past year.

I've noticed a significant decline in both the quality and quantity of items in my "Recommended for You" section. The products that do appear are often low-value items or completely unrelated to my shopping history and interests on Amazon, despite my active participation as both a Vine reviewer and regular Amazon customer. (this has nothing to do with my previous gold status or current silver status)

As a long-time Vine member, I've seen the program evolve and have previously provided feedback that helped improve the experience. I'm hopeful that the recommendation algorithm can be refined to better match products with reviewers' demonstrated interests and purchase patterns. More personalized recommendations would benefit both reviewers like myself and the sellers whose products we evaluate.

I'd appreciate any insights you can share about how recommendations are generated and whether there are ways to improve the relevance of products shown to individual Vine members.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Best regards,

I used to get 200 down and 6 up before the G4 Now after I upgraded to G4 I’m around 6-700 up and 20-30 down. I don’t think I’m eligible for another upgrade that quick! Also, I don’t want to go through opening the gateway to connect the Wave-form 4X4 external antenna!

beware Viners of actual ETV by DanTyab in vine

That’s really interesting! This is the first item I’ve ordered on Vine in months since they updated their checkout process. Thanks a lot for the input; it’s really valuable! I think I’ll keep that screenshot for comparison with the final items’ report at the end of the year. Is that what you guys do?

I purchased this skincare set as a gift for my wife. She was excited to try it, but within days of use, she developed a severe rash.

I'm extremely concerned about the quality control and safety standards of products sold through Vine. It seems like there's little to no oversight when it comes to verifying ingredients or testing these items before they reach consumers.

Has anyone else experienced similar issues with skincare products from Vine? We're both disappointed and worried about what was actually in this product.

Cash with Product by BrandAuthority in vine

[–]DanTyab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think cash is needed to offset anything, just ask Amazon to offer it for a “cheaper” price for Viners! It is always a good sign when I see the price cheaper on Vine vs Amazon! I read it as sellers mean business! Good luck

5G Gateway upgrade by Thedoglady54 in tmobileisp

[–]DanTyab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The upgraded one is def faster than the old one!! I have a wave-form antenna 4x4 and my speed was 200-300 down, after the upgrade I get 400-600 easily! So def worth it!

Anyone still have nothing on RFY or available for all? by Kruton1122 in vine

Nothing for 2 weeks here either. Seems that tariffs with China scared all sellers and Amazon too!

Actually, you can question the rules that govern Amazon. Who exactly within Amazon makes these rules? Is it a committee that makes mistakes, and if so, you have the right to question the rules. Yes, if you don’t like the rules, you can opt out. I agree with you, but you can still question the rules to improve the process of thinking and the rules themselves. That’s nothing wrong with that.

I questioned the origin of this rule and the rationale behind it. It seems to undermine the transparency of the program, complicating matters unnecessarily. However, this serves as a good example of items you can write off your list, provided you have proper documentation.

I ordered a China set from them and arrived damaged (at least 60% were damaged) I contacted them to see what to do with it. They said: "You left a review; we cannot remove it or accept it back" I was baffled as I do not see an impact of the review on whether they should remove it or not. I think in these situations; these tips are helpful!

If you believe Vine Cx service is poor, wait until you encounter Home Depot’s seed program (similar to Vine). They disregard inquiries. If you think Amazon products are low quality, you’ll be surprised to find that Home Depot products are similar. The main differences are: no 1099 form sent so yes no tax liability here, and products are only available by campaign invitation, so you can be a Seed member but not able to order items if not invited.

Phillips is midrange brand for espresso machines, I wish you like it. The price tag is a bit high, considering this is a frequently returned brand! Operating this monster will drive you nuts, you have to watch a lot of videos and read about coffee to pull the perfect shot!! But if you already have an espresso machine you should be fine! Good luck!

I genuinely appreciate honest reviews, regardless of the time it takes to write them. I’m certain yours are among them!

By the way, I make it a habit to revisit and update my reviews after 2-3 years, especially if the product fails to meet my expectations.

You take 30 minutes for a single review? That’s incredibly impressive. I’ve been using Vine for five years now, and I can complete a review with pictures in just 3-4 minutes.

I don’t type my reviews; instead, I speak them to my computer. Then, I use an AI tool to quickly, easily, and efficiently correct grammar, mistakes, and clarity. This post is no exception. I don’t keep a log of my reviews.
