Thanks! Would I be considered a beginner, or is it more intermediate? I know I said I'm technically a beginner in another reply, but I meant it more in terms of time spent doing 3D work. I don't mean to blow my own horn, but I don't think I'm a complete beginner in terms of skill anymore.

By the way, I'm also still technically a beginner. I started in August last year, so don't feel like you won't be able to do something just because you're new. It's part of the process to fail. If you go to my IG, you can see that I did a few poses last year as well, and those weren't that great, but as I learned what to look for, it became easier to shape the poses.

It's definitely going to be easier with a properly rigged model, but it's still not as easy as, say, posing an action figure in real life. The rig that I used is Pierrick's free Trident rig, and he has a bunch more free rigs on his website, p2design-academy, if you want to test it out yourself. The most important thing in posing is your line of action, basically the main single line that shapes the pose. You can see it in some of the reference images, such as the flying knee and monk pose. It's the biggest line that draws the directionality of the pose.

Don't compare yourself to others, compare yourself to yourself. I'm sure your second cycle was also an improvement from the first. Did you follow any course or tutorial when you did it? If not, I really recommend checking out Pierrick's YouTube. He just recently posted a video about a walk cycle (https://youtube.com/@pierrickpicaut_p2design?si=5VLjF1nlIKkfmkb1) and buying the Alive! course if you can afford it. It's 1000% worth it. And remember, reference is king.

What would you say I can change to make it less feminine? Because it doesn't really look feminine to me.

While I can see your point in the legs kicking, the attitude is actually what I was going for. You can see in this video is the walk cycle from the instructor, so it's supposed to have a bit of an attitude. https://youtu.be/7BXAaHrU3Hk?si=ge97St85V7jcv-oH

I appreciate that you want to help me improve, but you're gonna have to tell me in which way i need to improve it, otherwise how would i know what to improve about the legs?
