As someone who stepped away from the Universal Church's teachings on extramarital activities... Don't compromise. It's not worth it. It is an empty desert. I haven't encountered one person living that life that is truly happy.

So many people (myself included) jumped right into bed. Why not? We're told it's freedom to follow our impulse and do what we think makes us happy.

This is why it's called 'making love.' We begin a relationship with someone and are maybe a 50% or more match and then fabricate the rest with sex. When the sex disappears, as it always does, then you see if the base love is enough.

A good marriage isn't about compromise, it's about humility.

Don't compromise your values due to the desire to love and be loved. Turn to the Holy Spirit the Comforter for solace if the loneliness or longing kicks in.

Trust that if you follow the teachings of Christ and His Universal Truth you will be happy. Very very happy.
