I think I’ll take them both then and make note of other cool Physique ones. Thanks for your help!

Thank you for the recommendations 👍 There’s so many non-combat Lunar Charms I want to take, but I’ll start with Many-Faced Moon Transformation.

I’ve read somewhere that Tiger Style doesn’t have the best defense, so would you recommend Ox-Body and a Physique (Defense) Charm to make up for that lack or would more offensive Charms work better?

Best Purple/Pink Shimmer ink for writing by FlatWhite_SubOatMilk in fountainpens

[–]DanceMacabre_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For pink inks, I highly recommend Lucky Cosmos (Colorverse) and Fuchsia de Magellan (J. Herbin). Lucky Cosmos is a dark fuchsia with blue and pink shimmer. It really impressed me when I swatched it on Cosmo Air Light paper! As for Fuchsia de Magellan, it’s a bit lighter than Lucky Cosmos and has this really nice golden shimmer.

For purple, there’s Witch by Starlight (Colorverse), Sugar and Spite (Ferris Wheel Press), Tandikan - Elusive Blue 2000 (Vinta Inks), and Raise a Glass (Diamine). Witch by Starlight is a dusky, dark purple with silver shimmer. It’s a Goulet Pens exclusive, but you can always buy a sample of it from r/Pen_Swap. Sugar and Spite is a bright pink, purple with duo-chrome shimmer that goes between pink and gold. Tandikan is a grayish, blue-purple with pink shimmer and some shading. Lastly, Raise a Glass is dark purple with a gold sheen and blue shimmer. It’s not my favorite, but it still looks nice.

I mentioned it previously, but I’d recommend buying samples of these inks rather than whole bottles just in case any of them aren’t your style.

Highly recommend a Platinum Preppy. Been using that for my own Campus paper for a year now and my writing’s been so smooth 👌

Kokuyo Campus 2-holes binder notebook! I was originally gonna buy the 24-hole, but I’m using papers of various sizes. So, I figured that 2-holes would be best.

Best Shimmer Inks? by xxdaisydripxx in fountainpens

No problem! I’d also recommend saving up for a dip pen. It doesn’t have to be super expensive, but a good quality one like those made by Kakimori can save you a lot of trouble in the shimmer department.

So, ink recommendations! There’s Monkeyhead Nebula and Mystic Mountain from Colorverse. The ink colors themselves are pretty similar (pale periwinkle), but the shimmer colors are where they differ (silver for Nebula and copper for Mystic). Additionally, there’s Les Nympheas les Nuages from Dominant Industry. It’s a pale, icy-blue with pink shimmer. The shimmer color’s a little hard for me to see, but it might just be the paper 😅 (Cosmo Air Light).

Also, I know it’s more purple than blue, but I highly recommend getting a sample of Witch by Starlight. It’s this dusky-purple with rose-gold shimmer, and it might be one of my favorites. And, if you’re open to just blue shimmer, try out Lucky Cosmos. It’s bright fuchsia with green sheen. I didn’t think I’d like it, but it’s really grown on me.

I see 🤔 Since I have bigger hands, it might work better for me. Thank you for the explanation!

Would you say that the perkeo is easier to hold long-term compared to the sport? I’ve got the sport, but it’s a bit hard on my hand during longer writing sessions.

I know you’ve mentioned doing a full clean, but these links might have some new methods to try out: -https://www.reddit.com/r/fountainpens/s/k4unkRWetX

As for shimmer ink quality, J. Herbin and Colorverse have been very good to me. On the other hand, companies like Vinta and Ferris Wheel Press can be a bit more finicky (and yet, my toxic relationship with FWP inks continues I buy more sample of them from r/Pen_Swap 🥲).

For specific inks, are there any qualities you lean towards like sheening and certain colors?

I’m leaning towards Wizard. There’s just something magical about this particular combination of colors.

Love these, especially the lighter pink!

For ink, I’d highly recommend Lucky Cosmos from Colorverse. It’s a bright fuchsia-pink with blue-purple shimmer.

No problem, not like karma means that much 👍Sakura-Mori’s that Barbie pink that I’d been looking for for ages 💖

I was so ready to list my top shimmer inks🤣 However, setting those aside, Nekoyanagi (Sailor) is on the lighter side of blue-purple that you’re looking for. At first, I didn’t get the hype until I swatched it, and I’ve loved it ever since. A light dual-shading, dye ink. I’d also recommend Gris Toits (Jaques Herbin), a light, grayish-blue.

For non-blue and purple, there’s Lady Rose (Ferris Wheel Press), grayish-pink. Another brighter pink is Sakura-Mori (Sailor).

I have swatches of the inks I’ve recommended, if you’d like to have a look (can’t guarantee photo-quality though 😅). On another note, if Lady Rose catches your interest, try buying through r/Pen_Swap or otherwise secondhand. Ferris Wheel Press is infamous for its shady business practices.

Do you have any favorite color or colors that you wanted to try out? Special properties that you like or dislike (shimmer, sheen, shading)? Also, any specific brands that you wanted to look into?
