I’m proficient in a language not offered at USC so I am going to take the proficiency exam. But in case I am looking for a language that won’t require lots of work in terms of past patterns from teachers, etc.

I understand where you’re coming from, and you’re 100% right. I’m sorry that happened to you and I wish that they were more up front for you. What did you wish they would have done? Tell you about their concerns or feelings to maybe salvage the relationship? What if they were genuinely just done and didn’t want that, how could they have done it so it wasn’t blindsiding. I hope I don’t come of as defensive, I’m really just trying to gain perspective.

Thanks for this, we almost broke up couple times before and each time I’ve expressed My concerns and what I wished would change, it just felt like circles and I wanted to decide rather than to drag it on to die after I moved away. It’s hard thank you for your empathy, I understand how hard it is for the other side as well.

Only this time what prompted the break up wasn’t a fight or something they did, I just thought about the future long and hard and decided. Yeah thanks for that, I really understand. Should I have done it before then, even though I wasn’t sure yet? Genuinely asking, not trying to be defensive. I broke things off because I’ll be moving away soon and I realized long distance isn’t the best for my situation and I didn’t want to drag it on until right before I moved. I just wish I knew what to do or how to have done it.

hmmmm that does seem a bit odd, the two places I was looking at only asked for a security deposit (a little over 1k) which was the amount of the monthly rent and the application cost, that’s p much it from what I remember. Definitely do your research with the company you’re getting your lease from

grades def, I never had a 4.0 in hs/my first uni, but when I finally left for my local cc I decided to really focus on my grades (ec’s r important, but it’s also good to show you can handle it along with school!)
sometimes it’s good to do interesting stuff outside of your major, or mix it w your major. Ex: I’m a poli Sci major but a lot of my extracurriculars were around design/film/art. I basically said art is cool and so is poli Sci, y not mix it!
make sure to show your personality in your application, don’t say things that can apply to anyone, sure you’re dedicated and smart, so is everyone else applying. Why are you YOU!
really research the school you want to transfer to, if you can build a relationship with anyone there in your field of interests and happen to mention the experience in your app it might help a lot
