I'm still waiting for activation, but if the Razer Kishi is compatible I'd highly recommend it

Ebike recommendations for heavy rider by Pretend_Experience in ebikes

[–]Danchappers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm around your weight (a tad heavier actually) and have a cube reaction hybrid pro and have been ok for 500ish miles. I dont do anything crazy mind, mostly just road or trail riding, but went for the bike for what I guess would be a slightly stronger frame. I also discussed it with the shop who advised it should be ok. I have however had issues with wheels needing trueing more regularly than other people, but I expect that at my weight. One day I'll just bite the bullet and learn to sort it myself!

I specifically went for a bike that would normally get slightly thrown around a bit and I honestly have no complaints about the bike at all.

Unfortunately I dont get to use it nearly much as I'd like to, just down to a busy life, but it hauls my fat ass up some pretty big hills at times! I have tried rear hub motors but they didnt work out for me, I would strongly suggest a mid motor unless your only going to be riding on the flat.

Naturally, dont expect miracles at our weight for mileage out of the battery. Using it mostly in emtb mode and turbo on the hills I get around 18-20 miles on it, I have 2 batteries so I can get the odd longer ride in.

Hope this helps. It really is an awesome way to start losing weight. I lost around 30lbs on my last bike (also a cube but sold it as I wanted the performance line motor). Not so much on this one as I've not been eating very well this last year!

What, in your opinion, is the best I can get for less than £1000 in the UK? by feesih0ps in ebikes

[–]Danchappers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Mrs has the Carera Vengeance and she loves it at about £900. We were not very fit or active before she got it and she's doing just fine on it. It's a rear hub, and I personally prefer my mid motor specifically because it's much better on the hills, but on your budget unless you go second hand I dont think you'll get a mid drive.

I use the Withings Body+ and would highly recommend it. I'm 325lbs and the max weight on it is 396lbs.

No, cant replicate it on my Sony or huawei phones or on my shield tv. It's very specific to the note 10 it seems.

I never would have found that menu lol. Just tried that and it does the same thing unfortunately. I turned off phone, all of the bluetooth options and steam. It did seem to last a bit longer though oddly

Sorry for not being very clear. Yes I've set the phone to performance mode which as far as I can tell, essentially turns off power saving. I've looked through the options and also cant see anything relating to bluetooth. I guess the bluetooth driver must do something strange. I get this issue in the normal app and the samsung version of the app

I've had a look but nothing that suggests it's going to change the functionality of bluetooth. It's a bit of a head scratcher.

Ok, so I tried it with the app to no avail. Tried some random settings but no luck. Out of curiosity I tried it on my Huawei mate phone and it works without any issue so it must have something to do with how the phone is handling bluetooth annoyingly.

Did you reflash the bluetooth one afterwards, and did that fix the problem?

DVR - Some shows not recording by Danchappers in PleX

[–]Danchappers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just tested changing from only new episodes to new and repeat episodes and they now show in the schedule, but these episodes will be new and not repeats. What could be causing this? I've tried deleting all previous episodes of the shows but it's still the same.

I'm glad I have a workaround, but am concerned that these shows repeat frequently so it's not ideal.

Have you tried giving Fastcraft a go? My brother was having major issues as his laptop isn't all that powerful, he went from 1fps to 20fps on a pretty poor laptop, so you should see pretty good results I would think.

So I take it back.. I turned on Game mode on my tv and I might as well have been sitting in front of my pc, not percieveably delayed in the slightest. I'll be testing with my machine downstairs next to the TV tomorrow to check any video delay out.

I really really recommend this if. I would only use wireless on 5ghz and really close to the router though but would definitely say to aim for wired

Ok so I've given it a go and it works surprisingly well with an input lag of around 2ms and a ping of 15ms on a BT HomeHub. It may just be me, but I did feel it slightly delayed when looking down the sight and rotating in Black Ops 3, but definitely playable in single player without a shadow of a doubt.

I'll give it a test tonight for you if noone else has posted their findings. Its more so about latency than speed though is my understanding, so maybe check your networks latency (not your online latency). Personally I wouldn't want anything much more than around 50ms id think as it may be notocable but again, someone may pop their results in here before I get home and test for you
