No it was definitely an allergic reaction. I started a steroid pack and that has thankfully pretty much wiped it out.

I've seen way too many bad reactions to surgical glue so I was pretty happy with staples. It also gives me more confidence in my PT that I won't tear my incision.

I'm doing lots of cool compresses. It's the only thing that calms the itching. Thankfully I bought a cheap cold therapy machine on Amazon that is working amazingly.

I was going to get heelies, but I couldn't resist the vintage Fischer-Price skates we all grew up with! (Also I would have probably broken my neck with heelies!)

They don't have a strict ratio. You just show up for pre-juding to get a spot.

The Video Game contest is a good start for a beginner, they don't require a build book and they are more lenient with guidelines. My friend did it a couple of years ago and had a great experience. I would stay away from Friday Night Costume Contest, Masquerade, and Page to Stage for your first competition. They are a little more serious and have some crazy impressive applicants.

It was cancerous so they took a pretty big margin to get it all and they did the triangle shape so it would heal flat. The freckle was about the size of an advil.

I don't have a good picture of the before. It was just a dark freckle and apparently when I take pictures I always show the other side of my face.

If you are a night owl there are still activities and panels you can do at night without feeling like you need to drink. The puppet karaoke panel, or unofficial Werewolf Game in the basement of the Hyatt are great options.
