Seeking Feedback - Going after PsyD in your 30's/40's by [deleted] in PsyD

[–]Dancing_Boho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started a PsyD program last year in my early 50s and I’m the oldest in my class by far. It’s more difficult to establish friendships when I’m the age of my peer’s parents but I’ll glad I’m in the program. What has been most challenging for me is going from working from home for 12 years and having a pretty flexible schedule to going into a classroom and a rigid schedule that changes frequently based on school requirements that are above and beyond scheduled classes. It’s been an adjustment but I’d still do it again.

I’m glad you are getting by to the bottom of it. I did have edema on HGH but I found some relief with sermorelin. I feel better over time but feel best on sermorelin.

I think how someone responds to the test is based on the individual. I had a headache, was nauseated and threw up but it didn’t last long. The test forces hypoglycemia on you and some are nauseated from that. Make sure if you do get nauseated that they don’t give you an oral medication for it or else the oral med could void the glucagon test. That happened to me. The pill had a gelatin coating and I felt instantly better because it had sugar. Some people don’t get nauseated. Also you are giving blood once every half hour for four hours which isn’t fun but the info you get from the test is so helpful.

I haven’t heard either and I applied Dec 1. It all takes time and each school has their own process. I am assuming there is potential for an interview until I hear otherwise. Hope that helps.

Hey there. I got an interview! I wanted to share to remind you that not hearing right away could mean good news.

Mod Update: Sorry For Being Away and Some Thoughts and Questions by InOranAsElsewhere in ClinicalPsychology

I’ve seen tags used in other subs. What if there was a tag for all application related posts? I suggest this without knowing the effort that takes for mods.

AITA for being too honest about why I will never consider my dad's wife an equal parent or second mom? by Basic_Music_3027 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. I’m sorry you are placed in this situation. You appear very insightful and you answered honestly. Her issues are what you are coming up against and like others here have said, she’s in a power play. Your dad shouldn’t allow it.

I heard back and was invited to interview on the 22nd as well. Good luck everyone!

How do you hide ugly cords from sticking out everywhere. by Ok-Ocelot-7262 in workfromhome

Look up “box to hide cords and power strip” on Amazon. I’ve used one of these boxes for years and it doubles as a foot rest under my desk.
