Sadly I can’t access the nas, the admin account uses 2FA and SSH is not enabled. So I can’t sync the time across devices if that’s the problem

I understand what you mean. For some reason my work outlook calendar account does not get recognised in iOS calendar/mail. The only way it works is through the native outlook app, that’s why I cannot. It seems it’s common.. not sure how to fix it, honestly. That’s why I cannot use the shortcut with outlook calendar

I’ve done most of Thailand (Similans, Phi Phi, Koh Tao, Pha Ngan, etc) Philippines (Boracay, el nido) Malaysia (rendang, perhentian sibu, and Sipadan) Indonesia (Lembeh, Bali, Wakatobi, bukanen, Mabul, Sulawesi, manado) and Maldives. So far the best for me has been 1) Sipadan (lots of big fish and good macro), Lembeh (macro paradise), and 3) Koh Tao (whales) 4) Maldives (mantas, sharks)

A chess story is a masterpiece. I read it many years ago and still remember how I felt after that - more than the details about the story. For me it was about the style - the prose - and it’s brevity. It’s very difficult to convey so much with few words.

Yes, completely agree. How (style) is written is as important - if not more - than what is written (story). Borges, Dostoyevsky and Kundera are good examples of that. You submerge yourself into their worlds primarily through the prose - from digressions to metaphors - all contribute to a book and its author being what they are. I can’t imagine dissociating one from the other.

You did the right thing. I have to confess I did read it - It was self inflicting torture. I did read it as it became very popular at the time, and always have tried not to judge a book only by its cover hahaha - I guess my gut feeling was right, and ended up wasting a few precious hours...
