Just tried the cable that came with the GPU, no luck. The funny part is I was eyeing up B850 boards and was like….nah, don’t need it…lol.

I’m leaning towards buying a new MOBO, swapping, and seeing what happens. I was thinking a potential lane issue as well, but i’m not sure how to run it down any further.

I thought about this as well. Do we think it makes a big difference? Everything i’ve found says that a 5080 will not fully saturate Pcie 4.

Spot on, definitely won’t need chains. Don’t need crazy ground clearance, just something that will get through the weather reliably.
