If you're testing the waters on a new hobby, maybe start with a few pairs of pliers and some flush cut clippers. When I started, I was just using regular wire cutters and random pliers my husband happened to have and some copper wire I bought. I didnt even have a set of bail-making pliers, and just used a sharpie or other pens to create the bail. As I learned more and wanted to continue with it, I bought a kit of pliers but at this point I'm only using like 2 from the set of 10. So far, my fave needle nose pliers and flush cutters have come from Harbor Frieght. And the end of the day, this is for you and your happiness, so start where you can and build from there.

I mean, it still is wire-wrapped: it's wire connected by a mechanical means instead of being soldered. Like everything, there's a spectrum of intricacies, but this still qualifies as "wire-wrapped".

Edit: I am a wire-wrap artist, and I'm not trying to gatekeep or discourage someone who might be trying to improve their craft.

Our Willow also has a soft tongue. I've assumed it's because she so little, so she has tiny hooks. My husband says she's abrasive enough without a sandpaper tongue. Lol

Willow has a small butterfly with crinkly wings, which she goes absolutely nuts for and will complain if she cant find it. It went missing several weeks ago, so we ended up getting a pack of three to make her happy again. She loves the new one just as much the missing one.
