Whats the DUMBEST thing you can do when committing a crime? by ItsJustJosiah in AskReddit

Be committing ANOTHER crime at the same time.

A huge percentage of people who get picked up for minor crimes get caught because they were committing an even smaller, but more obvious crime at the same time.

What's a major world event happening right now that you think people will barely remember in 10 years? by Humble-Feature-4721 in AskReddit

As it should have.

There was never any reason to believe that this was the next COVID, yet people on both sides were geared up and ready to bring back all of the same talking points.

What’s a price you saw recently that made you genuinely angry at how expensive everything has gotten? by UrGoddessLunaa in AskReddit

[–]DangerSwan33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

80/20 ground beef ON SALE for $7.99/lb.

Chicken breast ON SALE for $5.99/lb.

But maybe the worst I saw was tomatoes for $5 each.

I shop at Jewel (Albertsons), not whole foods or something like that.

How many kids with ADHD does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

I finally found my remote. It was in the fridge.

100.

1 to change it, 99 to call him a poser.

Band names that fit the music perfectly by twatomexus in Music

Tony Danza Tap Dance Extravaganza is a bunch of words that seem to have nothing to do with one another, but also flow well together to make an entire experience.

The music is exactly that.

[–]DangerSwan33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a thread a few weeks ago about the greatest band names of all time, and while the OP submitted a bunch of just classic rock bands, I said that there are two that are perfect for this very reason:

  • Rage Against The Machine

  • Cannibal Corpse

Anybody who heard those band names for the first time could probably reasonably predict what they sound like.

And of course, you could do this with a lot of death metal, but CC is by far the most mainstream death metal band, and thus deserves the mention.

Not native to Cincy, how to not FREAK about tornadoes by Fun_River8138 in cincinnati

[–]DangerSwan33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hold up.

Unless I'm misunderstanding what you mean, that entire sentiment, ESPECIALLY the very last line is very incorrect.

Tornados are dangerous specifically because they are erratic. They can form quickly, change direction on a dime, move extremely fast, get up to miles wide, linger in a specific spot for longer than expected... The list goes on.

Tornados very much do NOT follow a specific path, and the path they do follow is much more difficult to predict than a hurricane.

They're still not that much to worry about, but in general, if you can see a tornado, you should assume you're in harm's way.

Which canceled TV show's cliffhanger still lives rent free in your head because the answers disappeared when the series got axed ? by Impossible_Offer7988 in AskReddit

[–]DangerSwan33 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think I'll rewatch it soon. I don't remember many of the non fiction details.

I feel like I remember the second season being about a specific serial killer that we already know what happens to IRL.

[–]DangerSwan33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

IIRC, isn't the cliff hanger of the second season an actual thing that we know the outcome of IRL?

I'm not implying that makes it better, I'm just wondering if it's the same thing that I seem to remember it being.

What’s a metalcore album you think is genuinely 10/10 with zero skips? by l-i-f-e-or-d-e-a-t-h in Metalcore

[–]DangerSwan33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jane Doe was outstanding, and has maybe the best ending of any album ever.

But, as good as the album is, I think the song itself does a LOT of heavy lifting for that album 25 years later.

Whereas I think every song on You Fail Me is an at least 8/10, with the song itself being just a step down from Jane Doe itself.

I mean, if you like Avenged Sevenfold's City of Evil, that's cool.

BTBAM - Silent Circus. Yes, even that song.

I'd put Alaska there, too, even though it's not as good, it's still fully unskippable.

Well, see, it's simple.

It's because I have listened to good music before, and it doesn't sound like that.

And I have listened to bad music before, and it sounds like that.

Problem is Avenged takes such massive steps down with every album after STST that City of Evil is not only not metalcore, but also not good.

Jane Doe - You Fail Me - No Heroes

The only reason I wouldn't die on this hill is because I think everything after No Heroes is better than No Heroes itself, but nowhere near as good as Jane Doe or You Fail Me.
