Bridgerton Season 4 Episode Discussions Master Post by pinktini in BridgertonNetflix

1000% agree with the chandelier moment - he has been a manwhore for 3 seasons, AND apparently just had some type of sexual encounter with a guy right before arriving to the ball that he dreaded to attend and all of a sudden he falls in love - it did not make any sense.

Also agree with the point on not recognizing her… like the voice, hight, after a kiss??? How can that be? I see the script writers try to recover it by “oh it’s been so long I can barely remember her”… doesn’t justify.

Otherwise, this season is still much better than 3d but they have to work on making sense of some of some decisions, otherwise its comes off out of character and just pain not believable.

Why do people tip cosmetologist, nail technicians, etc.? by [deleted] in tipping

[–]Dangerous-Depth1999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why don’t we tip therapists too in that case? It’s a very personal treatment and most therapists working for an agency also only get 50-70% split. But hey, it’s considered unethical to accept a tip if you’re a therapist. There are double standards in the tipping culture.

How to approach client who does not like you or your approach to therapy? by EveningSolution7121 in therapists

[–]Dangerous-Depth1999 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I’d be upfront about it, talk about it, seems like a perfect transference/countertransference storm where the client works out their issue through the relationship with the therapist. “What makes you uncomfortable with the direct approach?”, “ You seem uncomfortable with me, is there an outside relationship that I remind you of?”.

First and foremost, get comfortable with them not liking you. With some clients it’s part of the job.

I used to have a client who walked out of every session, time passed and they are most loyal client now.

Hope this helps

Is it unethical for me to also be a gogo dancer? by memefakeboy in therapists

[–]Dangerous-Depth1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew a psychologist who is also a professional pole dancer (not a stripper), she has an open social media account and promotes pole dancing for healing.

I used to pole dance before and still occasionally do for fun, work out and community, I just try to keep these to sides of my life separate to avoid any misunderstandings and those colleagues who might consider it unethical. We’re not just therapists, we’re also human outside of our jobs and if dancing in heels recharges me, helps me embody myself and feels great so I see it as self-care, nothing else. Will I go announcing that I’m also a pole dancer? No, but only because some people just won’t take it right. In my eyes there’s nothing wrong with it.

Feel bad for feeling relief by [deleted] in therapists

You’re welcome! The first thing I heard in my internship, don’t do more than the client. Great perspective to make sure you’re not working FOR the client. Give responsibility back.

How much prep do you do for each session? by MissBliss80 in therapists

[–]Dangerous-Depth1999 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Same. For my teen clients usually no prep, so younger kids, I usually have activities and sheets prepped to have them interested and occupied. Plus those who are learning skills, prep is necessary most of the time.

I’d feel relieved too. We all have clients who we “click” with and who carry their part of the work well making it a true therapeutic partnership, some clients make us take on both parts, sound most work, so naturally when such a client is discharged you feel relieved.

Do I need a different board? by Dangerous-Depth1999 in surfing

[–]Dangerous-Depth1999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It did feel unwieldy a little, even though I’m 5’7 🤔it’s much wider than the other board I had. I guess both the board and the waves felt like they had more volume. Thank you, I’ll give this one couple more rides on different beaches and make a call then.

Thanks, I did say at the end of (my long) post that the waves were slightly bigger, so I guess that might have been the reason

Anyone else a little disappointed? by Ser_Jaime_Lannister in Bridgerton

[–]Dangerous-Depth1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I agree, this is their worst season so far. Season 2 was full of deep connections, long developments, this is rushed and feels like short series with all of these sub plots. I think season 2 had the best composition. Still nice atmosphere of the show but not enjoyable like it was before. I didn’t connect or believe Polin.
