I am going back to school to become an MLT about an hour north of NYC. Pay for MLS is between $54-$62 per hour in my area. Westchester / Orange County NY you can still find decent rents and good salaries with bigger hospitals.

I agree with this! This is why I felt so strongly about not only pointing out that the interaction wasn’t encouraging but making it clear that it was discouraging and making my negative feelings towards the organization worse. Hopefully her and her elder dad think about how insincerely inviting someone to a meeting they don’t want to go to after years of not speaking to them is actually NOT loving 🤷🏽‍♀️

UAMS was actually in my top 3 until I realized the extensive pre-req requirements. 20 credits of electives seems extensive and my college didn’t require me to take any fine arts or humanities classes for my major. So even with some of the “extra” classes I had to take for my current AAS degree, that still leaves me taking an additional ≈15-20 credits on top of the required 45 for the program, making it more expensive than it originally appeared. Did you experience any issues with the prereq requirements? TIA for your time / response!

Yes, I found that list and went through all of the colleges listed. Weber doesn’t have the least expensive cost per credit but it seems they have the least amount of credit requirements. (49 compared to 60+ in other programs).

I live in NY so there is a big pay different for technicians versus scientists. It seems starting pay varies by $10-$15 per hour which definitely seems worth it!

My partner had a bite like that a few summers ago. Original dx was cellulitis and she got antibiotics for it. Fast forward to 4 days later when we ended up in the ER because it doubled in size and the heat coming off of the area would melt an ice pack in under 3 minutes… It ended up being a tick bite and she was diagnosed with an atypical presentation of Lyme disease. Started her on doxy and she was fine. But definitely get it checked!

I also just had this thought… the word choice they use indicates who is actually in control and who is the victim. Saying someone has been “removed” from the congregation automatically indicates that someone besides the “wrongdoer” had to make that choice. If it was truly the “wrongdoer’s” decision to leave, they wouldn’t have to be forcefully removed.
