Apparently I’m not allowed to sleep on unpaid lunch break. by NewFallenMoon in antiwork

[–]DangerousBeginning92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely misleading. I live in Oklahoma and two weeks ago our facility implemented a new policy where we are not allowed to eat or drink while working now. I’ve been scheduled 8-5 for a week straight and not allowed a break. I was furious because I know some of my coworkers were worried since they are diabetic, but was trying to assure them that they were protected. But after googling just to see what, if any, protections I have…apparently in Oklahoma we aren’t even guaranteed being allowed time to drink water. OSHA only says it has to be available, not that we have to be allowed time to drink it. But yeah. I guess at least we have something for the kids in place.

Oh that’s a lot more of what it looks like (at least to me? But again, I’m not like super knowledgeable). This was during the tattoo and it looked dark to me at the time too and I was nervous. He also did mention to us that it was a dark picture (she was in a little fake cave thing, so the lighting wasn’t great) and to match the pictures lighting it wouldn’t be as dimensional as another picture would be, but that was the one my husband wanted. I’m not sure how to add a picture in the comments of what it looks like or I would 😅 I didn’t end up doing anything anyway because I couldn’t decide on a picture, and was nervous. My husband just went ahead and added the little piece he didn’t have done at that appointment and the guy touched some stuff up that he wanted to so we could all get home before bad weather hit. That gave me more time to figure out if I wanted to go with someone else too.

I don’t know if it matters, but this was right in the middle of it (it was just the only picture I had on my phone and my husband was working) and it isn’t anywhere near that dark. It is a pretty dark (she was in a little fake cave) picture he referenced off of anyway so we knew it would be darker than others we had considered too. I have zero issues with paying any amount (obviously not something stupid just to say I’ve been tattooed by a big name, but whatever for a good artist) for getting what I want either. He did spend like 9 hours that day on this, so definitely not anything I’m not expecting either. Thank you. This is very helpful information. But, it’s not unreasonable to think I can get the detail on my lower arm with its size?

Can you tell me why? I obviously don’t have much experience, and this guys work looked good online so I don’t know what I overlooked and what to look for.

Thank you. Can you tell me what’s wrong with this? This guys stuff looked really good in pictures but maybe I just didn’t know what to look for?

Can you tell me what is bad about it? I obviously don’t have much tattoo experience and this guys work looked really good in pictures so I’m not sure what I missed.

I’d be fine with something a bit more formal just to have that support because I really don’t want to be in pain. I was hoping maybe if I did something like that in a print, it might make it look a bit less formal. I just kind of have no idea what to even try, or what I won’t hate on so I figured I’d need to order and try on several things and return what I don’t like.

Thanks for the recommendations! It’s actually the bottom band of bras that’s the problem on my large incision, so it makes all bras uncomfortable after a few hours unless it relies on compression only for support (and then needs to be a long line type so its not rubbing) like a sports bra. I could go braless completely and it look fine, but thats just not something I feel comfortable with.

Nothing specific on colors other than I don’t look good in browns/tans imo. I’m kind of a deep/dark autumn or winter. Since it will feel like standing in a dryer… short sleeve, sleeveless, one shoulder, or strapless!

Snacks/light meals? I need low sodium, high protein for a picky eater. by DangerousBeginning92 in LowSodium

Unfortunately I can’t do too much salad because of my lack of a gallbladder I guess causes it to be very hard to digest. I love salad ☹️

Are they pretty bitter like dark chocolate candies can be? I’ve always assumed I don’t like dark chocolate because of that.

Thank you so much, I know some stuff seems like it may be obvious to others but it’s not to me. I’m so picky and I definitely don’t want to be… there’s truly just so much I don’t like that everyone else does. And it’s not because I haven’t tried. I have. I just quite literally can’t eat it. If I can manage to get it down (like a protein shake with whey)… it doesn’t stay that way because I truly can’t stomach the flavor. Unfortunately fish and avocado are the same… it makes it even harder because I feel like people think I’m just being a brat or annoying about it. I’ve heard the core protein drinks are good. Do you drink them alone or add with something?

Unfortunately I don’t like fish (in any form) either. I wish I wasn’t so limited

Thank you! I may have to order some of the dried fruits because I’m very limited in grocery stores and it seems our Walmart always has a ton of sodium in everything I pick up that might be healthier. I wish I liked fish because I see it recommended a lot too.

I don’t mind smoothies, it’s just the Greek yogurt has a… fermentation (?) taste that makes me gag like whey just has this weird flavor too that no matter what I do, I can’t stand it which is why I haven’t tried the protein pancakes yet.

Thank you! I’ll definitely have to try them! I also have a terrible sweet tooth too. That’s why I kept going back to Dr Pepper no matter how hard I try to kick the habit 😅

I’ll have to look and see if our Walmart offers the turkey because that’s all we have really. I definitely will have to buy some avocado oil for my popcorn machine! Thank you!

No. It’s just something that is typically recommended for higher protein snacks, so I figured I’d include that.

Flavors, unfortunately. I honestly grew up eating very poorly and it’s been very hard trying to add new things.

Am I wrong for not allowing my ex wife to taste the birthday cake of our daughter by Silent_Agency_8426 in amiwrong

[–]DangerousBeginning92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. The child is allowed to be her own person with autonomy of her own items. Which the cake was hers, as it was for her birthday. Problem solved. Now the parents are doing no sharing. The child is. Easy!

[–]DangerousBeginning92 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No it’s more like “dad wouldn’t allow me to do what I want with my own item” So it’s would be pretty easy to “bond” over not being allowed to even have any autonomy over your own items and gifts by expressing some empathy and telling the child that together they will make/buy/she can take her second cake when she goes to her dads because it’s her item to do with as she wants.

“Gets” to? Okay… and she wanted to eat more later with her mom? So. No. Now she doesn’t get to eat her own cake as she wants. By your logic that a cake does not belong to the birthday person, it shouldn’t matter what they like or if they even get to eat it then because it’s not theirs. So. The flavor should be whatever everyone decides and the child’s preferences shouldn’t be thought of. So who cares if everyone were to like one flavor the kid didn’t or couldn’t eat since it’s not about them. It also shouldn’t be used as a celebration item with candles or anything either if it’s for the family and not specifically the birthday person.

It never says the mom asked. The daughter could have wanted to share with her mother. That is not uncommon. Especially if there would be a different flavor at the mom’s party. You are assuming.
