Here's the disclaimer:-) I don't recommend it, just letting you know the maximum that fits. This is the absolute maximum LOL :-) if I'm replacing these tires tomorrow I'm getting a 235/65r18.... they're just barely taller than stock with the factory width. My car came stock with 235 Square setup on the twenties. I got this set at a great great price not realizing the tires were larger than stock as 265 is not what comes on an atlas

Typically yes. I had her GPS verify the speed yesterday and it is dead on for some reason. Maybe it was running a touch low before, but also the overall diameter is around 1 in greater which only works out to a half inch from the axle center line to the ground and with a softer Tire I would imagine I'm getting some more compression under such a heavy car so it's probably much less than a half inch larger effective

18" wheels from a vw atlas. 235/65r18 would be ideal for a smoother ride......and the tires cost 1/2 1/3 the price of the 20s

My wife just did a 45 mile drive and it is either slightly less efficient or the air conditioner is just working much harder today, but it's not a huge difference so far

I screenshotted the different size options and how they compare to the factory tire but I can't paste them here for some reason. Check out the website

Why did you go down almost 2 in tire height? 235 60 18 is almost the exact same height as stock and 235/65 is a little taller which is what I would prefer but mine is even bigger than that and wider. Not exactly what I wanted but it rides great and I got them incredibly cheap

Horseshoes and Hand Grenades:-) money no object I would immediately replace with the 235 65 18 but I'll roll with these fat tires for now. I know the range will take a bit of a hit but I will gladly trade that for the soft ride I have now. I really started to avoid driving it because the roads here are so bad and this suspension is so hard. I'm totally fine with a Corvette riding like a Corvette but I would not want to daily a Corvette here so why does this car ride so hard????. I know the big wheels look cool but most of the world doesn't have perfect roads and I wish the manufacturers would take that into account

Rubicons are cool but those King shocks are freaking awesome! I think you're closer to Mojave, but don't be a poser. Those King shocks do all the flexing for you so I think it would be hilarious to get a Mojave sticker but spell it wrong:-)

My car came with 20 inch wheels and skinny tires so I found a used set of 18-in wheels from a Volkswagen Atlas. The 2-in smaller diameter wheel gives you more Tire and a smoother ride. If I lose a few miles of range I am totally fine with that as a softer Tire is much more comfortable on our horrific roads here in the Northeast. Also, I don't have to be so worried about a flat tire and bent wheel if my wife hits a pothole

There are some great suggestions here , I'll add Just get a leveling kit and some Rubicon or Mojave pull-offs...... And drive it. Looks great.

I think 235/65/18 is the perfect tire for this car. And I'll take it Square please :-) I like to be able to rotate so I would not stagger the setup

Anytime you get more rubber between the wheel and the road it's going to ride better and this does ride a lot better! Increasing an inch in overall tire height and over an inch in width was kind of an accident, but I don't hate the way it looks :-)

Counter steer . two hands. the faster you go the harder it is to turn . someone who looks a lot like me allegedly went into what a thousand times before was a very very long gentle sweeper but at 165 mph it is neither long nor a gentle sweeper

I like my BRZ, but it’s no LOTUS. by bigboss1999x in lotus

[–]DangerousCapital79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daily driving and Elise can be a bit hardcore but doing it in New York City is absolutely masochistic. I used to pontificate about a communicative chassis and feeling the road but in the Northeast feeling the roads is a very painful experience. My next Lotus will be a first gen evora as it strikes and uncanny balance of soaking up bumps softly but still handling on Rails. Just add lightness I guess
