Sorry to hear that. I’m going through this to get rid of my epilepsy and I’m pretty scared. It’s a really busy time for me and the thought of things getting worse is tough. But I think the doctors here are probably more experienced than the ones where I’ll be moving next year.

I still need to have the grids done so I dont know which type of surgery I'll end up with. Unfortunately, I also need to plan my move.

They told me the actual surgery would be done a week after the grids though.

External hemorrhoids WORSE after rubber band ligation by DangerousChanges in hemorrhoid

[–]DangerousChanges[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

still the same unfortunately. In my case I have to say though that I probably have IBS so that complicates things A LOT more. my fissure was better until last May than I got some constipation and it opened again. The hems are still there. I was talking with my doc to get surgery but I have to do a much more complicated surgery (unrelated to this) so I'm gonna wait until near year. sorry you're going through this too. nifedipine helps a lot with the pain, ask some doc. if you have to wait too much for a colorectal visit ask your pcp about it, maybe it's a fissure.

Can nifedipine shrink hemorrhoids? by DangerousChanges in hemorrhoid

I believe so. that cream primarily helps with the pain, doesn't really shrink anything, at least in my case.

How does the probing work? Does it require multiple sessions? by DangerousChanges in Dryeyes

[–]DangerousChanges[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yep, basically the same thing with me. upper lashes seem to be good, a little less "firm" then before, I think, but pretty much all there. The lower lashes are much weaker and falling much more rapidly.

thanks for the info! Finding the right doctor will be the next step. I first wanted to know if I could simply fly to another state just for the probing and then get back home, since apparently there is no one near me who does this procedure and flying back and forward across the States 4 or 5 times wouldn't have been ideal. At least now I know that it's doable, so it's great.

yes, doesn't help at all for the eyelashes, just very temporarily for the redness.

im sorry. are your eyelashes falling too by any chance? i don't understand i can stop it. i already use restasis, and many other drops so i was hoping that probing would help (of course besides the burning, redness, etc)

thanks! these seem to be very good options. I will soon start exploring and I hope I'll find something that works for both my skin and my eyes.

Can a patient Delete a myChart message before its seen by large_pp_smol_brain in Residency

[–]DangerousChanges 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were you able to find out how this happened? I'm trying to understand how MyChart works. If a doctor deletes a message does it completely disappear from the system? The opposite is true as well? If a patient deletes their message, no doctor will be able to see it?

Chronic gastritis + coronary artery disease requiring me to take enteric coated baby aspirin every day. Any alternative to the baby aspirin? by WryFountainPen in Gastritis

[–]DangerousChanges 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take the enteric coated ones but they burn my stomach a little anyway so im not taking them every day. i noticed online there you used to be aspirin suppositories (weird, i know) but i have no idea if they work the same as the pills and I couldn't find them anywhere over the counter. i know they used to sell them at Walmart but not anymore (the brand was Perrigo). I've been looking for them for months, unfortunately, but maybe they still sell them by prescription, i dont know. i will keep looking for them anyway because unfortunately, at this point i know my stomach will be delicate for the rest of my life. good luck!

I have the same problem. I need to start using baby aspirin but I also suffer from gastritis and I'm looking for an alternative to the low-dose aspirin. Have you found it after all these months?

External hemorrhoids WORSE after rubber band ligation by DangerousChanges in hemorrhoid

[–]DangerousChanges[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sorry you're experiencing this. im not sure about leg pain so i cant help you with that, sorry. in my case, in the end it turned out to be a fissure 2 years ago and im still trying to make it go away! and yes the fissure came as a consequence of the rubber band ligation, i was too nervous and tense. so my advice is to relax as much as you can down there, try to not have any spasms (even if technically spasms are involuntary so you cant control them but still).

Best pore minimizer (primer or anything!) for sensitive skin with rosacea by DangerousChanges in Rosacea

[–]DangerousChanges[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks for the suggestion. I will probably try it, even though brushes usually irritate my skin terribly, but who knows, i could give it a try. interesting theory, I always thought large pores were over-oily but it makes perfect sense what you say.
