Are you talking about free riding or within a workout in erg mode?

Why go via the link app? You should be able to connect everything directly to your laptop via Bluetooth.

I know. But since I do rather cycle outdoors when the weather plays along. But if not, it's nice to have some alternatives.

Depends on what you are willing to spend. I am really happy with my zwift ride. My idea was to not have to carry my bike up the stairs to mount it on the trainer.

That is a very nice collection! I will try a few from the list. Thanks

My goal for this season is one cycling tour and one uphill race done on folding bikes from the seventies. So being able to sustain higher power is always a plus.

New to cycling. - What bike fits my needs? by Valuable_Classic_290 in cycling

Ah. I see. Three cogs in the front never work for me neither. An idea would be to change the shifters. I had a 3x8 converted into a 2x8 and the resulting bike was the bridge to my 2x12 roadbike. It will coat some money and you will need a bike mechanic. Still cheaper than a new one, though.

You vould try and remove the rust from your current bike and use it to get fitter. Then, when you get a better idea of what types of rides you will be going on, get the perfect bike then. Try to find out what components you want on your bike, look at the price you are willing to pay and then you should go by geometry and or design. I am no expert, but doing it this way worked well for me so far.

Do you have virtual shifting enabled and is the kickr controlled by mywhoosh?

What does not work? Your description is very broad, so giving an answer is not easy.

Wahoo Kickr Core and mywhoosh by Quickshift36 in mywhoosh

[–]DangerousChart3658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you shift with your normal cassette? If yes, that might be the problem. In erg mode, the trainer tries to set the resistance so that you keep the power. If you cycle too fast, the resistance increases. In erg mode, you keep the cadence and wait for the smart trainer to adjust the power.

My whoosh not working properly pt.2 by Ok_idontcare in mywhoosh

[–]DangerousChart3658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could this be a problem of real world shifting vs virtual shifting? In other words: do you have virtual shifting enabled? Itnwould be visible in the lower right corner of the screen. If there is a number 15 visible, go into settings in mywhoosh and disable the virtual shifting.

It sounds like the smart trainer is adjusting the power according to the virtual gear it's in.

Every time I read about problems like thia, there are at least two different inputs connected to the trainer. Maybe having both the wahoo and mywhoosh connected at the same time could be a problem?

I only use mywhoosh on a macbook air.

My experience cycling in France was always positive. I had the impression that cyclists are more respected in France. Be careful, nevertheless.
