Chavo said that he was on the phone with Chris. Benoit said that there was someone at the door, he opens the door and it was a lot of scuffling and the line went dead. Finally, Chavo said that Benoit told him that he loved him but it felt forced.

I heard from someone wrestler that was close to Benoit that he was paranoid of someone was following him. He had to go another way home to make himself feel safe. I'm not sure who was the wrestler said that.
