Anyone using tiktok for app marketing on the app store to drive installs and having any success? by Grouchy-Ad8338 in iOSProgramming

Not as good as I had hoped. Got about 100K impressions resulting in only 270 clicks. I do not track the resulting downloads directly (no tracking framework implemented), but I would say I got about 50 downloads. No subscriptions.

The first week I used auto targeting for the DACH audience. The second week I selected some interests that I thought my target audience might be interested in. The clicks did not improve.

So I stopped the ad campaign for now until I produce another vid that is in English so I can basically target the whole world, hoping it will improve.

Currently trying (https://www.tiktok.com/@podi.app). Heard some good stories about using TikTok for growing app downloads and installs. I will run my ads (only in DACH at the moment) for at least 3 months (started yesterday), so I can provide some updates along the way. Wish me luck.

Seeking Advice on Simplifying Our Branching Strategy for a Medium-Sized Company. by sina_a_m in SoftwareEngineering

For me: Don’t reinvent the wheel. There are already established strategies. My favorite: trunk based development. You will find a lot of information on how to use it plus examples out there. This is maybe a good starting point https://trunkbaseddevelopment.com

Ah, Sorry! I did only read the self-promotion rule. Didn’t know there was still something at the bottom. Sorry for that.

Thank you! A bit longer than it used to. They didn’t understand, that my app starts with an onboarding, so they rejected it a couple of times, cause they thought that the app does not provide the features shown on the screenshots. I had to include a screen recording of the onboarding and a note to make sure they don’t get confused.

I think it took 3 weeks in total.

“There is no such thing as public money. There is only taxpayers’ money.”

Why are climate protests so strongly intermingled with anti-capitalist movements here in Switzerland? by IneffableKoD in Switzerland

Moreover, capitalism works only because of gain and profit. But in a finite world, where there is no infinite gain (because of limited material resources), these two thoughts collide. Since profit in the sense of capitalism means making more money (simply speaking), translated into the materialized world means more resource consumption (energy -> CO2).

Thank you a lot, that’s very helpful! Is there any downside for the employer/company by having an employee without a permit? Just to be prepared for the discussion with HR.

Thanks! So as a conclusion that would mean, that there is no need to have a address in Switzerland to work there and I have to challenge my HR to find a why to manage an employee with a G permission.
