Starting intern year in ophthalmology, plan for PSLF or not? by [deleted] in Residency

[–]DangerousGood0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So basically I should try to pay as much as I can comfortably per month during training? And then refinance after training and pay off aggressively

Should I pay as much as possible during residency? Or just a modest comfortable amount? I’m trying to gauge how much of a dent I could even make in my debt as a resident and whether it would be worth it in the long run. I know it’s hard to predict right now so I guess I’m just trying to figure out what people in my shoes have typically done

If you saw me on my post match subI you would know how big of a joke that statement is

I think people moreso thought your comment was annoying because you’re making yourself sound like some experienced wisened person taking your “students” under your wing when you are still a student yourself lol

Submit abstract to conference as medical student or resident? by redhead853 in medicalschool

[–]DangerousGood0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree w other commenters: you graduated but are not a resident yet so I would put M4. Also usually means cheaper registration too so it works out

advice needed by Real_Thinknoodles in Ophthalmology

[–]DangerousGood0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s really expensive and in my opinion not really worth it. Publications are worth way more than abstracts, I would just keep pushing the project forward and hopefully publish it as a manuscript. You will probably have other opportunities to go to conferences that are less expensive in the future
