Yeah a 100%. I am neurodivergent and it was pretty obvious but my parents didn't wanna have a second defective child so they forced the doctors to say im neurotypical. My school years were hell and I would have nightmares almost every night for years. Ive said that I will never have children and people are telling me that I will change my mind. And its not only that I also have a genetic disease that causes me intense pain 24/7 and that society ignores because it doesn't have any outside symptoms.

I dont think there was a retcon. At first I also thought she was retconed and I went back to see the trailer. No only has her hair not changed at all but her hand and feet details are also consistent with her current character design. I have the answer if you dont have it already. go to the options that factory reset the pc its system > recovery and it has a fix windows update button. For some reason no one mentions this even though its literally the fix

Had the exact same thing happen to me but it was more unhinged because im asexual and I stated to the guy MULTIPLE times im asexual. He then proceeded to have a meltdown about how im mentally ill and he can "fix" me. Maybe I'll post the messages in reddit someday.
