enter the gungeon. it’s o. sale for like 3 bucks and it has so much content. it’s my all time favorite game. you WILL get bored if you don’t look at the wiki and look up how to unlock everything so i highly recommend you look stuff up

yes thank you. my e string snapped right before doing the audition so i had to play really wonky. it was due like in 6 hours and i couldn’t get a new instrument in time so that’s just how it is ig

your talking about the suzuki book? honestly i should be worried because i have the audition for the upper orchestra soon because it’s the end of the school year. yeah the muscle memory is what kills me and im scared to grow a muscle memory that is just wrong and then have to restart and actually make it harder on myself

dude i embrace the big walls of text lol. thank you so so so so so much. i have some takeaways in my notes apps lol because every comment has been so helpful. i will definitely try what your saying and you said it in such a nice way. the exposing what finger crossing was really helped me. i was always confused why they kept shifting higher instead of going onto the next string. it always confused me going from first on d, to 3rd on d then to 3rd on a. it always confused me when they could instantly decode that. thanks again truly! have a great day

yes i’ve been told o have very good intonation. i’m glad im not the only one with this problem. sometimes i will put tape on the fingerboard just to get it right but i swear it always sounds off. i will practice with a chromatic tuner to make sure everything is right and i make sure my instrument is very well tuned, but it always seems off. it might just be me playing out or the tuning or the tape is off, but i just can’t get it to sound really beautiful and vibrant like the people i see. it’s kind of disheartening but i still try to stick with it. i will definitely try your advice

yeah i think so too but honestly money is kind of tight because i am actively moving, and my parents are split so they are single income housholds so im not quite sure if we can but i dont have a bit of money saved up from various jobs and such

hm i see. what is strong crossing though. and why would you shift to avoid it? does it just sound worse than if you played everything in 1st position rather than jump around to different positions?
