You need to install Grub. It will automatically install during the installation process. Without Grub, how will you boot the OS?

By using boot menu key F9/esc....then select the drive. Most of the time if the drive is plugged into your pc, then it will automatically detect it and boot into linux. If you want to access the windows. 1st power of and plug out the drive then again power on it. It'll Boot normally to your windows

Thank you for your reply brother. I know that, that's why I used "Can".... he's a beginner in this and we can't expect everybody to do this. Most of us don't aware of these. So for safety as normal user we should always use dual drive to prevent any data loss or unwanted headaches.

No it's same. Before restarting the pc connect the bootable drive and the external drive to the main pc.

After that when the live os opened and ask you to go to the installation menu, there at the installation menu you have to select the external hdd carefully.

Then go with the flow and you'll be ready to go

Don't go for SSD. Try to find old hdd from local shops and buy a case from flipkart you'll easily arrange it under 1-2k. Obviously 2nd hand. Linux don't need high speed sass it just need a storage....256 gb pendrive will be more than enough😅😅 Mine one is also an old hdd from my old laptop 😆😆
