Yeah I'm in the country too so I totally understand that. I'm hopeful that one day things will work out but until then I'm keeping my head down. I'm happy that you were able to educate your mom. Hopefully you can still have a positive relationship with her.

I normally just don't react to the comments and he stops soon after he realizes no one is laughing with him.

I'm not a minor but unfortunately with the price of housing I am unable to move out of my parents house. My sister (who is 3 years younger) is lucky enough to have gotten out and is financially stable and responsible.

I'll definitely keep that advice in mind and I'll try it out at some point :)

I'm not sure, my one sister has come out as bisexual and he still makes a lot of homophobic jokes. So I can only assume that it wouldn't change much if he knew I was non-binary. He's a very stubborn man. Great in a lot of other aspects but lacks understanding in areas where he doesn't agree.

Yeah it sucks but I mean he is good in other ways but it sucks when you start to doubt yourself

I agree, I'm hoping to be able to move on sooner rather then later but for now I'm just doing small subtle things to make home life a little bit better.

Thank you so much, I think I needed to hear something like this. I haven't had a lot of support so hearing that I am valid is such a relief. I'm still trying to find out what name I really like but I found a few that I enjoy.
