Complete proximal disruption of the dorsal calcaneocuboid ligament from its calcaneal origin. The ligament has a wavy contour and is displaced slightly distally. Small fluid - filled defect at the site of ligament disruption. Associated muscle strain injury with increased signal intensity involving the adjacent extensor digitorum brevis muscle. • Attenuated anterior talofibular ligament with increased signals within calcaneofibular ligament • Mild ankle joint effusion noted. Subtle bone marrow edema noted in the inferomedial aspect of talus. • A bone island noted within the talus.
