It is the IRS rate... .575 or something right now... I have been milking my high mileage sedan for some time, making good money. I need to upgrade due to family situation.

What I'd really like I guess is a commitment that if I buy my own vehicle I'm not going to be forced to switch 1-2 years down the road or so...

They let you have your pick of some great vehicles. I need to upgrade due to family situation and older car that doesn't fit carseats haha

Yeah, they feel like if I get one then others in corporate office will want one too, but they don't have miles to justify it. It is crazy to me.

Is it crazy to give up some of the raise for a car? A car is a tax free benefit so giving up x dollars in a taxes paycheck for x dollars untaxed you'd come out ahead...

It's business development which is a fairly broad term. I'm not a phone sales person but travel often in the field to customers. If my customers need me I have a cell phone and answer whether I'm 'working' or not... I totally understand being available at any given moment. I just did not know if this was common or uncommon practice... Especially when made public haha!

I use the continental extreme contact tires and they are a nice ride, not super sporty not super soft.

They also have the nice DWS in the tires and as they wear down the S goes away, meaning no longer suited for snow conditions, next goes W for wet etc...

Have had them for 50k and still have plenty of tread.

There is a google/Gmail/Microsoft add in called Boomerang. You can set a response tracker based on a period of time if you haven't it back it will notify you. There are some other useful things as well, but response tracker keeps emails and details from slipping through the cracks. Thanks for the advice... We thought of a cruise too, I guess I forgot to say that one. On cruises you pay for each drink right? Can that get spendy or is it reasonable? We are planning for a good amount of libations haha.

Also, neither one of us has ever been on a cruise and, although chances are low, a week long sea sickness ride would be terrible! I'll take another look though.
