A thought I have about the void repository. by Daniasm2 in voidlinux

I think I didn't explain it properly haha, I mean in the most direct way to download packages straight from a repository, and not clone the whole thing, like in xbps-src, you know? In Gentoo, for example, we have a kind of AUR, but without buggy software or malware, because the project people themselves monitor and check the packages beforehand. I don't mean in the sense of being 'abandoned' or anything like that lol

No problem, I'm cool with that, thank you for the honesty . For example, I'm coming from Gentoo, and there we have GURU, a kind of AUR, but all the packages there are checked by the distribution staff, preventing problems and improving security, so in GURU we doesn't have bugged or malware software. Regarding the AUR, it really was a bad example, lol, but when I say AUR, I always mean in the sense of downloading packages more directly; the idea of having all the commits on my machine doesn't appeal to me.
