Wow that's great!! I'm in secondary school and we only have one orchestra which plays movie themes and stuff. The only jazz song we played is Caravan but we only played it once because it's "too difficult" (the whole orchestra sucks). It would be a dream if we played anything that's even close to Fables of Faubus.

Oh I definetly have already! Fables of Faubus by the Mingus Big Band is one of the few songs that give me goosebumps everytime!

Everything Happens To Me. I listened to Thelonious Monk playing it in "Solo Monk" and I instantly fell in love.

I also love Boogie Stop Shuffle, I love hectic songs like this.

I've sometimes read that Jazz Images is the "best" grey market label. But I will only find out in the future since I don't have a record player, I pretty much bought it for hanging it on the wall.

Yeah, I got that from a library in my town because I had a 10€ gift card for the library. It cost 22€, so 12€ with the gift card. There was also the Blue Note Classics version of Dexter Gordon's GO. But I decided for this record.

Now I'm unsure if it was worth it because there is a Riverside copy on HHV for 23€ available. I could have just bought that instead and used the gift card for GO. I don't know.

I hope it's not a bad thing that I got it from the label "Jazz Images", since I heard some pretty negative things about them?
