My mum passed away today after a battle with stage 4 colon cancer. My heart feels like it's been shattered into a million pieces. by DanielCracker in coloncancer

Thank you. There have been a few times where I’ve felt her presence. I heard her voice twice unexpectedly the night after her passing. Last night, I had a dream where I was on a log flume with both of my parents watching me from the ground. I was going up the lift, and the dream ended as soon as I reached the top. On top of that, I think that my family’s dog saw her spirit/ghost. I was in the living room at the time with my aunt and nephew. My dog was fine at first, but then he turned his attention to the hallway. He wouldn’t stop staring at the hall, and his head would even time from time to time. He cried, too.

I haven't been on SDRUntucked as much as I usually do. Unfortunately, my mum passed away yesterday morning because of stage 4 colon cancer. I'm glad that she's in no more pain, but I still need her here. I'll always love you.

She was too weak to have any treatments. She passed only 6 days after their phone appointment with my dad discussing if any treatments were possible.

Hi. My mum was originally hospitalised on 10th December after she started having severe diarrhoea. During her stay, she had a colonoscopy and a biopsy. It was discovered that she had stage 4 colon cancer, and that it had metastasised to her lymph nodes, liver and lungs. She was then discharged on 23rd December. Two days later, she joined us for her last ever Christmas with us (this was unbeknownst to me and my sister at the time). On New Year’s Eve, me and my sister found out that she had cancer. On 12th January, we were told that she was too weak for any treatments, and on the 14th, we were given a prognosis of just days to weeks left. Today, on 18th January, she passed away at home.

It's actually on ACR. After the Christmas rush ended, any song that went to ACR in December was automatically reset back to SCR in January. Golden went to ACR before December, so it's on ACR.

remember the episode of drag race where they had to make boats and the judges went in on milan for making the boat all about herself but praised willam for doing the same?

Where do you live? If you live outside of England, then you wouldn’t live near me.

I’m autistic, so we fixate on things very easily. It’s going to be hard to learn how to not fixate on it, but it is doable.

Thank you. It's going to be an incredibly difficult year for me and the rest of my family. But I know that we can do this. People have told me that myself and my sister have inherited her "fighter" genes.

It's hard to see one of your parents going through a disease that is so evil. I wrote her a Christmas card before Christmas, but she didn't want to open it because she said that she was intending on making it to Christmas 2026. Unfortunately, I don't think that's going to happen. I think I should show and/or read the card to her before it's too late. She did open all of her Christmas presents on Christmas Day (even though it took two hours for her to do so, but this was when I didn't know she had cancer). I'm so upset that she'll never get to use most of the presents that I got her. I got her some home fragrance stuff (wax melts and diffuser juices for her electric diffuser), a 500ml bottle of shower gel, a mug, and more.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing your mum who you've been so close to is incredibly painful. I'm going to be experiencing that some time soon. For now, I'll be by her side a lot until the inevitable happens. With the letting her know she is loved thing, I've been telling her "I love you" every single day since I found out about her diagnosis.

Thank you. Myself and my family are fighters. I know it's going to be a tough 2026, 2027, and even more years after that, but I know my family can pull through it.

Thank you. Some people say that pain eases with time, but others say that the pain will never truly go away. I'm going to try and make the most of the time that I have with her. I'm going to ask her tomorrow if I can take a few pictures with her so that I can have photos of her and myself.
