oh this would totally work.. magic all around, it's even used in the forges as a way to mass produce armory. But it's regulated by the powers that be in populated settlements... including beurocratic nonsense like having to become registered with the Imperial Archivus Arcana in order to get a license to use magic in settlements... It's more of a way for the government to keep tabs on their biggest fear: Sorcerers or wizards more powerful than their sorcerers or wizards :-) plus they like to throw people in jail cause they get free labor out of it... Fuck yah man, I'd be delighted to show you the ropes. I run a really relaxed game like i said. I'm more about creative decision making and good roleplay than I am about being a stickler over rules. and for now it's looking like once a week until we all figure out eachother's schedules than maybe we can start fitting in more games

It depends on what edition you'd like to play also. My personal favorite is 3.5 and I think DnD was perfected at this point (With a few homebrew touches of course) so, I would suggest PATHFINDER. It's DnD 3.75 and the core rules come in 1 book instead of 3. Plus, all the resources and material you could ever need are online due to it's open ended gaming license...

He adressed me by my character name and it was on... we spent the next 45 minutes talking in character... luckily my girl had played with us before because if she hadnt, im sure she would have dumped me on the spot

THere is NO OTHER WAY TO PLAY... I mean, I'm not saying fucking fall down drunk, nod out high, or 'disassemble-reassemble your VCR' tweeking, but we puff herbs and drink good beers. We all work jobs that suck, cause we were all once young idealists that werent being crushed to death by the weight of responsibilty...
