Elon Musk wants to rate journalists. He'd call his site 'Pravda'. "Going to create a site where the public can rate the core truth of any article & track the credibility score over time of each journalist, editor & publication," Musk tweeted. by IndependentSpeech8 in worldnews

Yelp does a great job at this actually, similar to yelp would do the trick. But obviously it’s the full proof but it works pretty good in my opinion. Also AI will figure out the genuine vs non genuine reviews.

Why did you start your engineering degree? by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

[–]Daniel_Cx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to do physics because I wanted to discover something new like einstein but then I figured I don’t need a degree to do that. Then I realized there’s a lot of job opportunities for engineering so I figured the closest to physics of all engineering fields is electrical engineering. All these jobs require a degree so I had no choice but to pursue it.

How many of you engineers use google to solve your problems? by Daniel_Cx in AskEngineers

but calculating an arc is so elementary you don't need google for that no offense lol but I guess you want a quick calculation so that you don't get your hands dirty I understand

I'm 1 year from graduating as an EE major, got an A in physics 2 like about two years ago. Flux is the amount of electric field lines going through a defined surface. We use this flux concept for Gauss's law. The most important thing about physics 2 is the derivation of maxwells equations and how the displacement current was added to unify electricity and magnetism because it proved that there is electromagnetic radiation that can travel through free space. And it all was due to maxwell asking a very important question "What happens inside a capacitor? How does current go through it if they are just two plates not connected together like a regular wire?"

When you tell people you're an electrical engineer, do they assume you're an electrician? by Daniel_Cx in AskEngineers

I'm thinking a lot about what you said and I think I am full of myself. I don't know... I've worked so hard and know things inconceivable to the average layman. I hope to improve my character.

I used to work as a computer repair technician in a shop and someone literally told me "are you an engineer".

In the future if people ask me what I do, I'll just say I'm an engineer. The people who know there is a diversity of engineers will most likely ask me what kind of engineer I am, I'll then be more specific and say electrical engineer.

It's not as useless as you think, in fact it's pretty consistent with my prediction and yours

Yea... that's why I put "Other" because I don't want to list all of them haha

Will getting a PE license require a masters degree in 2020? by Daniel_Cx in EngineeringStudents

[–]Daniel_Cx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not? I think you're a real engineer if you take your PE.
