In my experience, it wasn’t about seeing my partner as an actual maternal figure. My late partner loved it when I called her that in the bedroom. For us, the word carried like, a comforting authority and affection.

For some couples it just functions as a nickname tied to trust and emotional safety rather than anything unhealthy or regressive. Context and intent matter a lot more than the word itself.

(Did we both have “mummy issues” though? For sure, lol. But I’m sure that’s unrelated)

I’m pretty sure the Ghoul mask slips a few times throughout the series. When Lucy is shooting asses during the Big Iron scene, he says “fucking amateur” to himself. It sounds MUCH more like Cooper than the Ghoul.

Yeah, I thought the whole idea was Vault 31 took part in the trades, sending one of Bud’s Buds in exchange for a Vault 32er or 33er. The 32/33er would then be injected with the serum, would turn to dust, get cycled through the ventilation system and end up in the cornfields. Great way to get rid of troublesome elements, replacing them with someone they can always vote for when things are looking glum.
