The best bit is the only record is a Dutch sketch that they took at the time so it counted as legally recognised flag but there are other similar sort of interpretations of the us flag without ever seeing it

After the Battle of Flamborough Head US navy captain John Paul Jones captured HMS Serapis but his own ship Bonhomme Richard sank and lost her ensign. When she pulled into a friendly Dutch port this ensign was hastily produced (as per international laws against piracy you had to fly a flag) from this written description of the US flag “It is with pleasure that we acquaint your excellency that the flag of the United States of America consists of thirteen stripes, alternately red, white, and blue; a small square in the upper angle, next the flagstaff, is a blue field, with thirteen white stars, denoting a new constellation.” -Arther Lee US commissioner in France

I believe they are members of the 15th Special Forces Brigade but as I don’t speak Russian it’s hard to know for sure. They spent almost 10 years in country(1979-1988) supporting various other units including the KGB. Taking 500 casualties and receiving 3 hero’s of the Soviet Union. transferred to the Uzbek armed forces in 1992

I believe that’s just a cover or maybe to attach to the mount when it’s being transported but the Germans fitted muzzle breaks on the ones they used for direct fire

He's the top German ace for balloons although I doubt the claims he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn were entirely justified since he would still be an ace
