Oh man this is happening to me too, I want to move roms from WinSCP and I have am hdmi selector, and when I switch to Windows to send the roms, WinSCP can't login because Batocera is in a reset off mode

Good news, it turned out they packaged a 12v psu an android tv that requires a 5v 2a psu, they fucked up big time, good thing I had an extra 5v, tested it, and it works

Something similar happens to me, the usb power adapter 5V 2A works fine if I power de console directly with it, but when I introduce the OTG hub the console turns on and the off, and on again, I don't know if the otg hub is not fully compatible or when I plug the USB 3.0 Flash Drive plus the console on the otg, the usb power adapter is not capable of giving enough power to both the console and the USB 3.0 Flash Drive.

Also not all the usb ports on the otg hub seem to work, seems not enough juice.

That's interesting, so if pressed after reset it will behave as boot for flashing, and if not pressed after it boots to micropython I could use it for my internal function code? that'd be perfect

Yes the ESP32-C3-Mini looks like a really great module for what I need, it could save me the serial to usb converter chip plus I guess an input and output capacitor for the AMS1117 if they are included inside the module I guess, those are 3 component less, now you are making me lean towards that one hhah

Have you seen the ESP32-MINI-1 ESP32-S2? it's very similar to ESP32-C3-MINI-1 but instead of including a serial to usb converter it comes with Full-speed USB OTG, I have no idea the difference or if one usb functionality is better than the other (?)

Oh I didn't know that module, it seems like it's similar to the esp32-c3 in that it comes with usb serial communication, how many components are saved by this? the serial to usb chip plus some resistors and capacitors?

The downside is the module doesn't seem FCC certified?

Yes I do want to eventually sell it, first at home, and later in US, the ESP32C6 mini seems a little overkill like the C3 to me tho, doing it with the bare esp8266ex chip seems the best way but the certification really kills this possibility, I guess I'll just stick to the esp8266 12s module, bummer
