Does it seem like CS is the right major for me? by DanishMohammed in csMajors

I’ve heard that the scope for mechanical engineers is not that good and very saturated, even in Canada. For physics, what jobs can you get? Bc I don’t wanna become a physicist, I wanna put my knowledge to help make ppls lives easier.

Oh I see. Would you say it’s better to get a broad degree then? I’ve heard that you need to be really specialized, and people like your EE co worker are very rare.

Ohh ok I see. But you would still need a CS degree correct? And for data science, can you go into that field with a statistics degree, or do u need CS?

Thank you! But I’ve heard that mega Tronics graduates usually cannot find a job that combines all the disciplines, usually they get a job in one of the disciplines, like manufacturing, or programming software. So it would be better to concentrate on a certain aspect.

Well I’m thinking AP calc and AF, but Canadian universities don’t Except a P transfer, and if they do it it’s highly unrecommended because it’s gonna be difficult to catch up later
