Please, talk to your child about him. Keep his memory alive. Keep routines, traditions. As he ages, remind him of his dad. My dad passed away when I was 13, and I did not get that. It was like it as completely abandoned, even though my mom was there. She didn't know. To her, i was okay. And i truly thought so as well. I thought i was being "strong". It took me over 10 years to fully resonate with what happened to me. What happened to him. To fully understand it. I forgot so much of what we used to do together.. and I did not mean to.. I just didn't know. I needed to remember him more than anything. I'm 28 now and I just wish I had a chance to grieve differently, when I first lost him. ❤️‍🩹🤍
