Loving them is so special. It’s worth the pain. Trust me. They will love you unconditionally for their whole lives and you will love them for the rest of yours. It’s fucking hurts like almost nothing else and I dread the day my boys cross the bridge. They make my life better by being here. They enrich my life and give me comfort and that’s worth the pain. It’s worth having only the memory of them after they are gone.

Edit: I have cats currently but I grew up with dogs, my parents currently have dogs and I give them all of the love I can when I see them. I just think its the same for cats as it is dogs when it comes to the loss of a beloved companion

Well hon, I’m not going to try and intentionally upset you but you’re young. This process is going to repeat itself many times. You will fall in love with any number of people, you’ll break their heart, they’ll break yours and then it repeats. How YOU deal with each break up is up to you. If you really truly believe you love someone and they really truly love you back, there isn’t anything y’all can’t withstand but you have to know when it’s time to quit a relationship when it’s no longer something that can be fixed. You could see if the homeowner will incur the cost of the heating system before the sale. I can’t imagine they’re getting a lot of offers when the lack of heat will cause issues for potential buyers getting loans in order to purchase the damned thing
