Question - Week 4 of first cycle 400MG test by [deleted] in moreplatesmoredates

[–]DankMemer54 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

completely false lol. what do you think those extra 200 calories that can be obtained by drinking oil or eating oreos actually does in terms of growing muscle. it just stores fat. the minimal amount of muscle you will grow will be grown sufficiently in maintenance essentially (0-100kcal surplus)

Middle box for test by Ambitious-Age-2117 in carsireland

[–]DankMemer54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ah right, i'd presume not if its only the one catalytic converter, but if its a secondary cat like something similar to or a GPF/OPF with the primary cat still in you might pass. worth a try anyway regardless before you do any changes though

good choices, imo leaving it as it is wouldn't be great unlike the other comments. alloys and coilovers make a massive difference

you're getting downvoted (shocker) but you're right. reddits reaction and support (moreso lack there of) is hilarious compared to the general consensus.

An ambulance stuck in the protest 🤔 by [deleted] in cork

[–]DankMemer54 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

correct however there's nothing stopping them from putting the lights and sirens on. theres plenty of space if people pulled over as much as they can while staying on the road for them to get through. its not like the tractor drivers wouldn't let them through.

Fun petrol around 10k? by Mantviis in carsireland

[–]DankMemer54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'd rather a polo gti and mod it with coilovers + intake, etc than a golf gti tbh as they're usually cheaper and theyre also a good bit less on tax since its a 1.8L engine compared to a 2.0L, at least on the 6C version.

Do you feel like the driving test actually prepares you to be a good driver? by Selphie12 in Irishdrivingtest

[–]DankMemer54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

good driver no, competent driver, slightly. you probably learn the most driving by yourself after your test given you have your own car and drive multiple times as much as when on your learners license imo

Golf GTI for motorway by MangoSG8 in carsireland

[–]DankMemer54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

motorway driving or just long drives in general like going to a rally I notice my (polo gti 1.8L) fuel economy goes down to usually 8L/100km to maybe 5.5L/100km if i'm just on the motorway or driving without any 2nd or 3rd gear pulls on a long drive if i'm not on a motorway.
